WADE'S P.O.V
"Ok, so you can stay out but you're going to need to hide." Hector reminds me for the thousandth time. I guess that was another con of walking through a long, dark hall.
"I know, I know." I sigh. "Don't let them see you." He says again, not making eye contact. "They won't see me, I promise." I swear. He nods reluctantly, taking my word for it.
"We're going to need to disguise you." He says, stopping in his tracks. "Like camouflage." He says dramatically while making hand guestures and making sound effects. I laugh. "Ok, what kind of camouflage?" I ask. "Something to blend you in." He looks at me. I nod.
We walk for a bit longer. "Black?" He asks out of nowhere. "What?" "Like, should we dress you up in black?" He repeats slowly. I think for a minute. "The house is covered in purple and yellow though." I remember the walls and banners that had a purple base with yellow dots on the side. "Dark purple?" He says in a high-pitched hopeful voice. "Sure." I shrug.
He lets out a little "yesss!" While we walk. "Where are we going to get the outfit though?" I ask. He pauses. "Oh.. I didn't think about that..." he rubs his temples. "Oh! I know! August, one of my friends, is a tailor! And he can sew pretty quickly!" Hector gets excited. "Which August was sorta a weird name pick since he was born in September. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I'm just saying, it's like naming your kid Summer if they were born in the winte- I'm rambling, aren't I?" He sighs.
After living with the skeletons for a while, I've learned that they all have their own little stress things. Like what they do when they get stressed. Hector, rambles.
I nod and he sighs. "Sorry." He apologizes.
Once we get near the ladder Hector let's me climb up first. One I get up and so does he, we head off to find August's room.
Hector has to make sure the coast is clear for me though. Which means he has to go out before me.
We burst into August's room. The skeleton- who I'm assuming is August, was writing something down at the moment.
"We need your help! We need to... camouflage him.." Hector says, out of breath and while pointing at me.
August snaps his skull around and stares at me. "So you're the kid that everyone's talking about?" He asks while getting up from his chair and approaching me.
I was kind of unsettled so I nodded quickly. He gives me a kind smile and sticks his hand out. "I'm August." He says cheerfully. I awkwardly accepted the hand shake.
"What do you need?" He asks Hector again. Hector looks up at him in annoyance, since he just got his breath.
"I need you to sew him a hoodie. A dark purple one, por favor." He instructs. August examines me. I feel pretty intimidated right now, but I'm not going to pick a fight with someone who's dead. "Alright!" He says while grabbing a needle and yarn. "I'm going to need to measure you." He grabs a few measuring tapes.
This is going to be awkward....
