Sometime between the hour of 0400 and 1000
Managua, Nicaragua
"Why the hell not? It's a brilliant idea!" Screamed Four, pacing around in the room.
With a heavy sigh, I shook my head.
"You're an idiot... totally idiotic..." I muttered under my breath.
We had... fallen a bit off the rails during the hours of analyzing rather imbecile content. Four was trying to explain to me an idea he had had during a dream: air conditioned shoes. His first argument: how his feet were always sweaty when he was doing parkour or while he was skateboarding. I tried to convince him it was a totally stupid invention, but he kept going. I blamed the lack of sleep and the overdose of adrenaline of the night before.
I don't know when, but at a certain point, we started to talk a bit more. Eventually, we laughed at dumb jokes and now... now it was a bizarre scene between two people who could barely stand each other, but found the way to enjoy each other's companies. It's a strange world we live in.
He laughed, openly, then crossed my gaze. I returned the smirk, not knowing exactly what it meant. The world might have stopped, who knows?
"Am I interrupting something?" Our billionaire boss interrupted us as he was standing through the ajar adjoined door.
Four and I both jumped and turned around to greet One. The man was coolly leaning against the doorframe, observing what was going on.
"Nope, not at all." I responded way too hastily with a high-pitched tone I didn't know I could produce.
He looked at us with suspicion, squinting his eyes and raising a single eyebrow.
"How did you get in my room?" Inquired Four, both surprised and worried, ignoring One's reaction.
"I have a double of everyone's keys." One retorted, waving the said copy in front of him.
"Wow. What is trust these days?" Kidded Four, throwing his arms around and throwing me a side look like he wanted to make me react.
I snickered, which provoked a surprised expression on One's face. He completely neglected Four's question and stepped towards us.
"What the hell happened last night?" He exclaimed, repeatedly looking between Four and me, his eyes widened with interrogation marks. "You two wanted to rip each other's heads off like... twelve hours ago."
"This shit can make anybody go crazy." I stated, pointing the monitors with my chin.
One hummed, both skeptic and dubious. I couldn't help but noticed Four's jaw twitch at my words, but I didn't comment it.
