Chapter: 8 The Start Of A Journey

Nitro POV

I saw someone that looked like Y/N and pulled him into the bushes we were hiding in. I put my hand over his mouth as he started screaming to make sure that no one heard it.
"Shut up! Its us, your team!" I whisper shouted at him.
He calmed down and looked behind him to see us staring at him. He just shrugged as if to say, 'Dude, I was kidnapped, beaten, whistling, saying things about someone's Mum and sucker punched someone,' I don't know how he did it, but he fit all of that feeling into one face. "What are you guys' doing here? And why a bush?"
"Story comes later, for now, what was so important that you nearly told us to get out of there?" A look of remembrance came from his face.
"Ah, yes, that. Ozpin gave us a mission and if you refuse you could stay, but I have to go no matter what. This mission is find a ring that may or may not exist inside a hidden cave. Do you guys' accept and leave this school, or stay and probably get kidnapped as well by team OPAL?" We all agreed without a second thought and followed him. To where, we knew not. "Oh, also Ozpin may or may not be in a gang, I'm just guessing." We were all confused with what he said.

Once we got away from Vale, we headed West and had a conversation about why we were hiding.

Flashback to after classes ended

So we were just walking around, trying to find team OPAL's dorm room- YES, WE READ YOUR MESSAGE!- to find Y/N. We couldn't find it and went outside for a walk and heard light footsteps that resulted in Lapis thinking it was an enemy after our head, pushing us all silently into a bush. Turns out it was just Lucas Ghost from team OPAL.
We thought he was harmless until he muttered, "Damnit, where are those LCN bastards?! Olivia's going to kill me if I let them get away! Well, probably not kill me, just break a couple bones, tear off my dick and punch my balls." Being the only man- ACk! Sorry Cole! We have no clue if you're a boy or a girl! Oh, so both? Well, you weren't a man! OW! OW! OW! OK, I will continue- I shuttered just thinking about that. We then saw a tower that looked like Ozpin's tower just construct itself and then heard an announcement.

Flashback end

"We then saw you and that was the story." I recapped. "So where are we going?" I ask.
"Um, you may not like how... desserty it's going to be. It's Vacuo and I still think Ozpin is in a gang." Why does he think Ozpin is in a gang?
"At least we now know." I heard Lapis say and we all gave a half-hearted 'Yay.'
"So why did he ask us to do it and not another team? I mean, I appreciate this and all, but why us?" Cole asked a very good question.
"You could say that I made a deal with the devil. I got to be commanded by him and 2 others while I had a 'Not Doing It' card. I will not explain. Let's just go to Vacuo."

While we were nearing the desert of Vacuo, Lapis stopped and seemed like she was terrified of the sand. I said something to taunt her, "Oh, so is Miss Schnee afraid of a little sand? Have you ever been to a beach before?" That got her riled up and then there was something that appeared in front of us.
It was a Deathstalker facing us, "Guys, calm down. We can take it. Does everyone have their weapons?" Y/N asks while we all got out our weapons. Mine was twin axes that when combined creates a shotgun, Lapis had a metal pole that turned into two smaller metal poles. She said it was like this because and I quote, "There's no beauty in blunt weapons," and Cole? Cole's still the only person in this team that hasn't shown their weapon.
"Cole! Where is your weapon?!" Y/N asks.
"I'll have you know that I don't fight with a weapon! Just watch!" Cole then proceeded to bring out a flute and play a tune, which got the Deathstalker's attention and it swayed and swayed to the tune.

Y/N POV

So, that's what it was. Well, better start fighting and like any good team leader I gave out orders to them.
"Blue Nitro, take it's six! Attack the tail!" I told Lapis and Dan, who got the memo.

And then, a single sound was heard before the beast fell.
