"Wait, so you weren't kidding about all this, you've lived this long?" Franken-dash said to what seemed like air. In truth, she was talking to Gearhead, but he no longer had a physical form, but a mental-electronic presence. "Yep, but just my mind, physically., before I lost it...again, I was more or less at the age of 39 or 40. That seems to be how long I can go before something vaporizes, digests, or ultimately destroys my body. I'm even younger if you count all the times my heart was pierced and I technically die, starting this cycle of universe destruction and renewal that keeps going and going. Thus the curse of immortality. One could say that immortals are the hearts of the creation, but that's a lie."
Franken-dash looked at the pseudo-body that he created to make conversing with him easier, she could not only feel his emotions, but see them as well. He seemed sad, and very loney."I will say, this is the first time that I've actually been subjected to a semi-parasitic mind link. Truth is, and I say this quiet spiteful to myself, this mind link isn't helping you in any way, but rather it has put you in great danger. All the reward of this link is techinquely all for me, for I'm the one that created it in a attempt to recreate a body once me old got destroyed. To make things worse, it appears that there is a bit of a information leak, so there is no guarantee that my memories will stay mine, and if I cannot create of gain a new body soon enough, our memories will merge, and it won't be two minds in one body, but one that is a combination of memories. Not a good thing."
He then looked somewhat sad, "I would never want to curse anyone else with my past anyway, Oh well, enough of those thoughts, time to get ready for the first of many days with your old friends, because they are your old friends, just a bit mess up. Each one has faced trauma, mental or physical, and despite their differences, they need each other. I know that from experiance. I just wish that I knew what happened in that fight. Guess you should ask those that are here. Come on, let's get the day started." Franken-dash nodded and the vision disappeared.
Franken-dash then started to walk out of the room, and she was greeted by the twisted grin that Riplight makes. Of course it was the only thing that Riplight could make, do to the fact that she had no lips. It was the eyes you had to look at to determine her emotion, and at the momment she looked annoyed, like normal. "Your late, but know what shape you were in when you got here, I'll overlook your oversleeping for this time. Come on, I have to talk to you." Riplight then motioned the way they were going to walk. They then began to walk together.
"I heard from your troops that you didn't quite get to experience the last 5 years on the surface, but rather beneath it. By what you told them, you were experimented on to get to what your are not, and that the process tormented you in ways that I would never wish. Do you wish to talk about it?" Riplight said and asked, in a surprisingly apologetic tone that would catch one off guard. Franken-dash looked at her with understanding, but sorrow. "Yeah, but maybe later. No use getting into the past until the future is secure. Corruption has to pay for what he's done to our world, and to you girls."
Riplight gave her a concernmed look, "you shouldn't be so dismissive of your feelings, of course, I should take my own advice. For someone who doesn't have lips, I'm pretty good at hiding secrets. I wish I could tell about it all, but." Riplight then looked forwards, stuck in a memory. She then stopped it and then looked at Franken-dash," I guess I can understand waiting to tell someone. Just remember, when your ready, I'll be here for you, and so will be the others, I promise that." Franken-dash smiled at Riplight, thinking that she want changed that much.
"Now that issue is out of the way, there was something else I want to discuss. I heard from the soldiers that humans had been summoned to assist protecting Cloudsdale. I also heard that those humans are making their way here, protecting a group of wounded pegisi that were unable to make it back to the city before they moved it. What can you tell me about our guests before they get here?" Riplight asked, and Franken-dash then opened her mouth to answer.
"They seem to be honorable creatures, they protect and help other without a thought to themselves. It something I admire, to tell the truth. I do wonder where they are right now."
