I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams.
-BoulevardofBrokenDreams, GreenDayI woke up to the sound of my alarm. My hair was brushed really quick and after I had dressed in a grey pullover and normal jeans, I went down to eat breakfast. When I opened the fridge I saw all the food and my hunger was washed away. I simply didn't want to eat anything. Another reason could also be thinking about that guy and crying but I didn't want to mention that to my mother who had asked me why I didn't eat anything. So I told her I wasn't hungry.
I took my bag and put my things into it. Then I took my boots and my jacket and got out of the house. It was April here in Sydney and it was kind of cold but I liked it. Better reason to wear pullovers.
I didn't have a car so I had to take the bus. Not liking the bus was an understatement. I despised it with all my heart but when I saw Sophie sitting in the corner, I quickly took the seat next to her. She smiled and all we seemed to do the rest of the drive, was talking about books. I told her about reading The Girl who loved Tom Gordon by Steven King and she told me, she was on page 275 of Allegiant. I don't even remember what exactly she told me but it might have been something about Tris and Four and her dumb brother Caleb.
When we arrived at school, we went straight to our lockers. The only things attached were a picture of me and Sophie and a picture of me when I was 7 years old with my mom. You might ask yourself why I have it in school and not at home but the answer was very simple: I was in school for most of the day, and I wanted to see mom for most of the day.
The day went by and the only thing that happened was some boy talking to Sophie but she didn't ca and I didn't too, so our day was pretty much boring. Until someone had to interrupt.
"Hey, fat ass!", she screamed down the floor but I walked away. It didn't seem to bother her as she walked after me. "What do did wasn't really nice. Why are you always doing things you know you're going to get payback for?", she asked taking my hair in her one hand and placed the other hand over my neck. "You scream and I crush.", she said and I nodded. We were alone and I was terrified. She pulled me out by my hair and when she stopped, I was in a corner no teacher would ever go. I was surrounded by all her friends. I don't know if there were 20 or 30 or even 50 people but there were many.
"Let the bitch pay for being 'not nice'", she said and the first one who kicked me was Derek(an: notDerekfromteenwolfduhh). I had hated him since 8th grade. I never did anything to him but he thought it would be funny to do something I will never forget...
Flashback
"I'm so excited", my friend Becca said. "Omg, me too.", she said. We were on our way to Melbourne, where we were spending a week a class. My "best friends" Becca and Ashley sat next to me and we were listening to the newest charthits. Secretly I always listened to other bands but it was Becca we were talking about and she was famous at school. We talked about boys and other shit that secretly didn't even interest me. I couldn't risk being kicked out of the famous group. They were all so busy admiring how perfect they were that they forgot to care about anyone. I knew I didn't want to be one of them but I was kinda thrown into it. When we arrived at the hostel, I ran into a room with four beds. I was sharing my room with Becca, Ashley and Jenna, my best friends back then.
