[Your POV]
Where am I? Why am I in Hyrule Castle? The last thing I remembered was falling asleep in my bed back at the Rito Village. I've been living in the Rito Village ever since Revali and I started dating a few months ago, but...I'm still baffled. Why am I in Hyrule Castle? Was this one of those pranks?
As I was wandering aimlessly through the halls, I noticed something was...off. The farther I went, the more the castle...decayed. Purple goop began growing on the walls and orange particles flew through the air. A feeling a dread passed over me and I shivered, not wanting to continue.
"AGH!" I heard a loud grunt of pain. I blinked and I was suddenly inside Vah Medoh. Revali would often take me up here, just for fun. "AH!" There was a scream this time. A scream that sounded all too familiar. I ran outside to the main terminal of the Divine Beast, finding nothing but one huge whirlwind. It was being created by some sort of creature. It looked like it had some parts that were tech while others were made up of the same stuff that had been forming in the castle. Inside that whirlwind was the creature and...
"Revali!" I cried. I tried to move forward, but my feet were glued to the ground with fear. I was frozen, paralyzed. The only thing I could do was watch. Revali tried using his Gale that he has yet to perfect, but that wasn't enough. His arrows weren't enough, his speed wasn't enough, nothing was enough. The thing grabbed him and slammed him so hard into the ground of Vah Medoh, a dent formed. Tears for streaming down my face now. "Revali!" My legs were shaking, but that was the only movement that was happening.
"(Y/N)..." Revali mumbled, lying there, blood surrounding him. The creature lifted its right arm, which seemed to be a cannon and bashed it down on top of Revali.
"NO!" I screamed. Just as the cannon came into contact with him, I woke up, sweating. My bed was soaked with sweat. My hands were gripping my hair so hard my head hurt. I sat up, looking around the room as I broke down sobbing. Everything in my room was fine...except for me. As I continued bawling, I heard footsteps running towards my hut.
"(Y/N)!" Revali said, entering my hut, bow and arrow in hand. "What's wrong!? Did someone break in!? Are you okay!?" I was shaking so much, I couldn't even explain to Revali what happened. I'd be embarrassed if I just started jumbling up my words.
"R-Revali..." Was all I said and all he needed to hear. He set down his weapons and sat on my bed. I lurched forward, wrapping my arms tightly around him. He ruffled my hair with his beak, softly rubbing my back.
"Hey, (Y/N), it's okay." Revali said soothingly. "Was it a nightmare?" I nodded. Revali gave a sigh and held me tight. "Just remember that they aren't real, (Y/N)."
"T-This one was different, Revali." I said in between tears. "Something bad h-happened to you..." Just remembering the scene I couldn't prevent made me shake with fear. "And I-I couldn't do anything about it..."
"...(Y/N), I'm not going anywhere." Revali said, holding my chin up, making me look at him. "I'll be always be here for you whenever you need me."
"T-Thank you, Revali..." I said, trying to wipe away my tears.
"Would you like to go on a flight?" He asked. I nodded immediately. Revali knew how much I loved flying over Hyrule. The land was especially beautiful at night, when all the light from Hyrule shined the brightest. He made me get dressed, not allowing me to go out into the night in my pajamas. "You'll catch a cold dressed like that." He told me. I couldn't help but smile.
After I finished getting dressed, I met Revali outside my hut. I climbed onto his back and held tight as Revali took to the skies. He was quick at first, but slowed down, allowing me to look down at the view. Hyrule from the skies never gets old. "You're so lucky, Revali..." I said.
"How so?" He asked.
"You can fly whenever you want. You could probably see this all day, everyday." I said.
"You know, I can take you on flights more often." Revali said. "But you're forbidden to tell anyone that you use me as a mode of transportation." He joked.
"I-It's not like that!" I said, blushing.
"I know~" Revali cooed. I looked down. The Fairy Fountain always seemed brighter at night, along with all the different creatures who wandered the night. I even spotted a pack of wolves running through a meadow after some deer. I buried my face into Revali's feathers. The softness mixed with the cool breeze was so soothing, I thought I could fall asleep right then and there. But everytime I closed my eyes, the image of Revali getting hurt by that thing replayed over and over in my head. "(Y/N)...?"
"It's nothing, Revali..." I said shakily. But I couldn't fool Revali. No one could. He spotted a field and began coasting in for a landing. "What are we doing here?"
"There's something very special here, just for you." He said as I climbed off my back. He walked towards a bed of blue flowers and leaned down, picking enough to make a bouquet. Those flowers looked familiar... Revali held the bouquet in his wing and walked back towards me.
"Wait!" I said, recognizing the flowers. "Aren't those-"
"Silent Princess?" He finished with a nod. "The most beautiful flower in all of Hyrule, even a favorite of the princess herself. But I want to give these to you. To comfort you at night, so you know that I'm here. A bouquet of Silent Princesses for my princess~"
"Revali!" I said, hugging him. I smiled, hugging me back, holding me in his wing. "Revali, they're wonderful..."
"Of course they're wonderful, I picked them myself!" Revali said dramatically, making me laugh. Revali, thank you...
