Heya simps, the mega simp is back with another Revali oneshot. By the way, I had no idea Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity was a thing. At the time it was released, I was going through some rough shit and was just playing Undertale on repeat so yeah. I currently can't afford it at the moment, but I will get it when I can, it looks fuckING amazing.

EDIT: I wrote the blurb for this like two years ago, I have now played and beaten Hyrule Warriors and I even bought the DLC purely for more Revali content.

Anyway, yeah, enjoy the oneshot-

[Your POV]

I sluggishly pulled the arrow back with my bow. I closed one eye, focusing on the target in front of me. A balloon with a huge red circle on it, conjured by one of my little Korok friends that lives here in Rito Village. Although I'm a human, I prefer the Rito Village over places like Hateno and Kakariko. Mostly because of the hot birds, and by hot birds, I mean Revali, my boyfriend.

He was out training at the Flight Range while I hung back at Revali's Landing, a monument made to commemorate the day that he and the other champions saved Hyrule from Calamity Ganon.

I noticed my hands were shaking. My knees were weak. I felt a cold sweat run down my forehead. This wasn't because I was so anxious about the training, but rather because I was sick.

No, what am I saying? I'm not sick! Totally... I just have a really high fever and my entire body feels like it's going to collapse at any minute. It's fine though! Revali wouldn't let a mere cold stop him from training, so why should it stop me?

I let the arrow fly, only for it to slump and fall to the ground. It had no air! Did I not pull it back far enough? I leaned down to pick up and felt my vision go blurry. It's fine. It's fine. My ears rang as I squinted my eyes at the target. The sun glared down on me and I covered my eyes, rubbing my forehead as pain overtook my mind.

"(Y/N)!" Someone yelled and I shook my head, turning around to see Revali approaching me. "I've been calling your name for five minutes. What is going on with you?"

"Oh, um, I'm just really...enthralled in my training." I said, shifting my gaze from him to the target. He raised his bird brow and my sweat increased.

"That was a terrible shot."

"I know."

"You never shoot terribly."

"Oh, I dunno about that."

"Darling?" He asked. Oh, there he goes again. He knows I love it when he calls me that. My cheeks grew warm, warmer then they already were.

"Y-Yes?"

"What is wrong?"

"Nothing, there's nothing wrong."

"Oh yeah? Prove it." He said, aligning my arrow with the nock. "Shoot that target dead on, and I'll believe you. If you miss, you tell me the truth."

"I'm being honest, but I'll do your dumb little challenge anyway." I grumbled, pulling back the bow.

"Hey."

"What?" I looked back at him and he put his wings on his hips.

"I love you."

"Ughhhhhh I love you too." I groaned, making him chuckle. I glared at the target, pulling my arrow back farther. It hurt my arms but Revali can't know I'm sick. He'll probably call me weak or even worse, stop me from training! My eyesight grew blurry and I saw three different targets hazily spinning around. I walked closer, hoping my vision would grow less dizzy. I continued walking forward until my foot reached nothing.

I didn't know what was happening. I felt my bow and arrow slip from my fingers and the target was nowhere in sight. I felt someone wrap their wing around my waist, pulling me upright. The blaring sun blinded me and I covered my face. "Okay, we're done here." I heard Revali say and I was suddenly picked up bridal style.

"What!? No, Revali, come on, I need to keep training."

"No, you don't."

"But...but..." I yawned, leaning my head against his feathery shoulder. I fell asleep before I could protest any more.

-Timeskip brought to you by: My hiatus, sorry about that, guys-

When I woke up, I was in a comfy bed that wasn't my own. I immediately recognized it as Revali's bed. How did I instantly know? That's a story for another day.

Revali sat on the bedside and handed me a cup of tea. He fluffed the pillows and put them upright, helping me lean my back against them. "I'm not sick." I said, attempting to hand him back the tea. But he rejected it, holding it to my lips.

"Stop being so stubborn, it's reminding me of myself. Ugh." He shivered, making me smile. "You are sick and you will stay in bed until you are 100% better."

"Why do I need to stay in your bed?"

"So I can look after you."

"I can take care of myself, Revali."

"You almost walked off of the landing because you were so loopy, don't try bullshitting me." He said, almost making me choke on my tea. "Just relax and...let me take care of you." My heart pounded. He was being genuine about this. The look in his eyes told me that he really was worried. I ached and leaned against his shoulder. "You worry me sometimes."

"Well, you worry me too."

"Oh? How so?"

"You work yourself to death, even when you don't need to. You know how many times you've been sick but you won't let me take care of you?"

"That's different."

"No, it's not."

"I'm a champion."

"You're also my boyfriend."

"I suppose you're right about that..." He tapped his beak with his feathery finger. I giggled and nuzzled into his shoulder. So soft and comforting. I wish we could stay like this forever, but he's always out doing his champion stuff. Which is fine, I just...miss him. "Okay, I propose a deal."

"Alright?"

"As long as you tell me when you're sick and let me take care of you, I'll let you do the same for me. I'll take breaks and we can...spend more time together."

"Really!?"

"Yeah yeah, now lie down." He rolled his eyes, but a smirk arose on his beak. He adjusted the pillows for me and I rested my head against their softness. Revali went to sit down on a nearby chair, but I sleepily grabbed his wing. He looked back at me.

"I hear cuddles are the best way to get rid of a fever."

"Or to get one." He said, but he smiled and laid down with me anyway. He wrapped his wings around me and I nuzzled my face into his soft chest. He rested his beak on top of my head, holding me tight. It was the best feeling ever, and I could already tell I was getting better. "This better help you."

"It does. Thank you..."

"Hehe, anything for my darling (Y/N)."

I feel like this was kinda a cheesy one, but it's sweet. Although I don't like my cheese sweet, I like my fanfictions sweet. By the way, yes I am back. I suggest you go and check out my Addressing Everything if you wanna know what happened. However I am no longer accepting requests for any of my books unless I explicitly ask for them. I am currently working on more longer running projects (Mission Failed and The Hottest Harem) which means that the sequel to I Give You My Life is finally in production and will be released when Mission Failed is complete. This means that I will be updating oneshot books sparsely because I am focusing on other things.

These are mainly just bite-sized writing prompts for me, which I do enjoy, but I will not be doing as often as I used to. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter and thank you for reading!
