( GONE AND LOST )

A WEEK GOES BY IN A FLASH, and Belle's mood gradually lifts as the days after her date pass, and she goes back to normal pretty fast. When she tells Ginny what happened, Ginny tells her that she will be having a word with her brother, which in the end causes him to avoid her, at least that's how she sees it. She finds it pretty amusing that Ginny is upset at her brother for not informing Belle about his change in plans when Ginny didn't tell her, either (she doesn't blame either of them, though). At least the DA meetings are scarce – she doesn't have to see him as frequently, then, and when she does see him, she almost plucks up the courage to just come out and say it, she likes him. But she has never been good with her feelings, let alone expressing them, so her mouth stays shut, no matter how much her heart is screaming at her. In the end, life goes back to the way it was.
A response to her letter to her parents doesn't come up though, and she visits the Owlery earlier in the week to find the owl that sent it eating from its bowl, the pouch around its neck empty. She isn't sure whether that means her parents received it or not, but they certainly didn't send a response, so she looks sullen for the rest of the day, and when she sees Amelia, she doesn't say anything. In her mind, it wasn't that big of a deal, anyway, it was a small letter, and she shouldn't have even sent it, who knows who else could have read it. She isn't sure Umbridge cares all that much about her families issues, but since her parents are apart of The Order, it worries her slightly.
On the following Saturday, Gryffindor versus Hufflepuff in the Quidditch match, and Belle goes not only to support her team but to support Ginny, because her team needs it. After the last game she attended, she figures things haven't gotten any better, and Ginny told her that she doesn't have high hopes for this game. Belle is a little excited because this means Hufflepuff might win the House Cup—something that hasn't happened the whole time she has been at Hogwarts.
Amelia meets her in the stands before the game, which is unusual for her since usually, she doesn't even attend games that don't involve Ravenclaw. Her interest in sports, like her sister, is non-existent. They grew up in a household that preferred to read and play board games than watch local Quidditch games, their "game nights" were magic monopoly nights.
While standing in the crowd beside Amelia, she realises that she can't hide the letter she sent to their parents, as much as she wants to. She always feels the need to hide something, but she doesn't have to, her sister is the only family she has at the moment—she should be able to share what she did.
"I sent another letter to mum and dad," Belle says when the game finally ends and the crowd quietens down as people begin to file out of the stadium, the Hufflepuff's looking particularly satisfied. The game wasn't very good, even she knows it, and she isn't into Quidditch. She feels bad for Ron, though, the Slytherin's were still mocking him during and after with their silly song.
