A Ship Crashed but Managed to Set Sail Again

The Fight

Thomas and John have been dating for a couple months now and Alex is clearly not happy about it. If he tried to bring it up, he would get scolded for trying to destroy the relationship.

Alex's sPOV:
I was on my way to lunch when I saw John and Thomas being lovey-dovey on the dorm couch. Thomas was kissing John and had his hand wrapped around his waist while they were watching a movie. Tch.
John's POV:
Thomas and I have been dating for a couple months now and he's been really sweet. He takes me on dates,  he brings me candy,  and even flowers. I have noticed that Alex has been a little more distant lately. And I'm not sure why. " What's on your mind?" Asked Thomas. I looked up. "Nothing. Everything is fine." I see Alex walk out of the dorm with an angry look and  without even saying bye. Maybe I can talk to you later right now I want to hang out with my boyfriend.
Thomas' POV:
Ever since I started dating John, Alex hasn't talk to me or him. And I'm pretty happy about that. I finally got what I wanted. Alexander is miserable and I have drawn off myself. I have noticed that James has been a lot more distant and I'm not really sure why. It doesn't bother me though, I have John and everything is perfect.
***A couple hours later***
Alex's POV:
When I came back to the dorm, I didn't see Thomas anymore which means, that he finally left and I was so happy. I walked to my bed and there was John sitting on his own. He looked up and said, "Hey, Alex!. I was wondering when you would be back. I wanted to tell you about what Thomas and I did today." I looked up from my dresser. "Sure. What did y'all do?" He began to smile even bigger. " We finished watching a movie, and then took me out to eat at that Chinese restaurant down the road. It was so romantic!" I scoffed. "Bet it was." He looked at me awith an angry look. "Is that all you have to say? 'Bet it was?'" " what do you want me to say John? 'Gee, Thomas hope your happy with the guy who bullied people in high school?' Give me a break." He jumped up with such hatred on his face. "Why can't you just be happy?! Why must you always make my life so miserable?!! I like him and I expected my BEST FRIEND to be happy for me!" I looked at him and saw the anger in his eyes and instead of stopping, I said... "I hope you're happy with the guy coming to break up with you!" I stopped talking and began to pick up my stuff. "I'm gonna go to Washington's place. See ya." As I walked away, I heard a faint. "Wait... Alex...!" I walked out and slammed the door.
John's POV:
I just got Into a fight, a fight with my best friend. I don't know what I was thinking. I was just so angry that Alex couldn't be happy for me. But one thing Alex said kept repeating itself over and over again in my head. 'I hope you're happy with the guy coming to break up with you!' What did he mean by that? How did Thomas make him break up with me? Was what he said really true? How can I move on, when I don't even know the entire story? I looked at Alexander's bed and on the pillow was the notebook that I gave him for his birthday present.On top, there was a sticky note and on the sticky note, in Alexander's hand writing one word was written. 'John' I picked it up and as I was looking through the pages are you gay and to notice that they were diary and photos I picked it up and as I was looking through the pages, I began to notice that they were journal entries. Why would Alex just leave this here?
