Episode 8

Reys POV

The next morning I woke up I really didn't want to go to class but was forced to by Gwen. I then noticed a email come through, it was an invitation congratulating her on her new movie. I didn't know what I would wear I didn't bring anything fancy to the campus. I decided that on my free period I would go dress shopping, I had done well with saving my money so figured it would be fine if I spent a bit. 

At break I went out with Gwen to shop, We spent a while looking at the shops passing some by that were definitely to expensive. When we stopped for food we ran into Rose who was in the area. "What are you here for?" 

"Oh just looking for a dress for your party... I didn't bring anything with me." I stated

"Oh! Can I help you?" She asked me excitedly.

"I guess."

"Yay!"

 After we finished eating we headed back to shop, We had went to quite a few more stores but things were looking bleak and I had to get back for my next class. Rose comes up to me holding a dress and shoving it into my arms telling me to try it on. I hesitantly went into the changing room then put the dress on. I came out and Rose and Gwen look up. "Oh! Yes Girl!" Gwen exclaimed. 

"Alright lets get this one, you change back and I'll take the tag up and pay!"  

"Wait no rose! I don't need you to pay forit!" 

"Nope, I am! Don't try and stop me." She looked at me determined to purchase the dress, I didn't try to argue knowing that it was pointless. I went back into the changing room as she walked to the counter. I needed to find some way to repay her kindness but didn't know how. After I came out Gwen and I went back to the campus. 

2 Days Later

I arrived at Finn's house for the party and was almost instantly whisked away from where I was standing by Hux whom was being surrounded by girls saying that he was with me so the girls would leave him alone. Fortunately It worked and he took me to the table that the rest of the nights along with Rose were seated. I see Kylo sitting across from me at the rounded table, He seemed to be a bit uncomfortable and even more so when I sat so I greeted him with a wary smile but soon he returned to his smug face.

"You look great!" Said Hux. "That dress suits you well." 

"Most definitely... I would say that you are probably the most beautiful one here." Poe chimed in showering me with compliments, Kylo turned his head and scoffed. 

Finn and Rose arrive arm in arm and they greet everyone and she thanks all those in attendance for supporting her. The cake is then brought out to congratulate her but she remains standing saying that she still had more of an announcement. 

"I'm leaving to move to Bespin for good in order to continue on my career path that I choose." She bows. "So again thank you to everyone." At that I realize why Finn had been distant that day hardly saying anything when he sliced his finger on the guitar string. He looked as if this information had been torturing him to hear it again in front of everyone and he leaves the room but rose remains talking then when she finishes she follows him. 

I later end up following them up to where they had went, I looked in through the door which had been slightly open to see Finn giving Rose a kiss and felt my heart drop and I silently close the door. I then turn and take a few steps and start to smack myself in the face. 

"You know if you stay here it will be embarrassing." I heard Kylos voice behind me. I then hear a noise from behind me and I quickly move away from the door, not wanting them to noticed that I had seen I told them that I was just walking around the place since it was the first time I had been In a house like this and been able to look around.
