"Lucy darling?"
"Yes Pop-Pop?"
"Would you mind making a late run to the diner. I know Luke is working late tonight anyway." He said.
"Another late night omelet?" She looked back at him getting her coat on. He smiled cheekily, "Better to eat now then never." He excused.
She smiled briefly, "I'll be right back." She said before going out the door and embarking on her airend.
She thought she saw a familiar car on her way in and stopped. She looked at the piece of junk before looking closer. In the window she could see a body laying in it, one she presumed dead long ago.
She shook her head. "No fucking way." She muttered to herself before slamming her fist on the window. Jess jolted upright in his seat, quick to shake off the sleep. He looked around before at her through his wjndow. He slowly opened the car door. "Hi." He said.
"Hi!?"
"What?" He shrugged.
"What?!"
"Is that what you're going to be doing? Repeating what I say?" He said annoyed, "Simon says, something else!"
She hit him in the chest. "Why did you leave! Huh!?" She looked down not being able to look him in the eyes as she felt the tears flowing. "Why the hell did you leave-Y-you didn't even say goodbye!" She hit him again, weak from her energy resulting in crying.
Jess looked down already guilty "I had to leave.. there was nothing left for me here.."
"What about me huh!?" She snapped. She cried and covered her face.
"Look I don't see why you're getting so upset about this, okay? Quite yelling at me, I don't care how angry you are that I. Didn't send you a postcard ."
She slapped him square across the face before storming off back home, quickly forgetting about her omelet quest.
