At class, I didn't focus at all. I faked focusing so I won't get in trouble. My mind kept having those flashbacks about my past toxic friendships. I was so scared of getting myself into another one of these friendships. The teacher called me out to repeat what she was saying, luckily my friend sitting behind me whispered to me the stuff she said. That was a close call.
I was bored, so I looked at the window starring at the free birds flying. I want to be free like them. I want to fly away from here. I want to go somewhere where I can be myself. I want to be free, happy and proud. I was laying my head on the table watching the birds when I noticed Steven looking at me. I acted like I didn't see him. He didn't get his eyes off me. He was wondering what he did wrong. I felt bad a bit but I wanted him to know his fault.
At recess, my friend and I were walking together. And I saw him coming towards me. I got excited. Then he walked through me. He was going to his friends. I got a bit sad but I hid my emotions. I faked my smile and acted like I didn't care so my friend won't notice. I told my friend to wait for me because the teacher was calling me. I went to my teacher and she asked me if I was ok. I told her everything's alright and she smiled.
I went back to my friend to see him walking with Steven. I didn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it. But after minutes, my friend came back to me and told me what Steven told him. Turns out, Steven asked my friend if I was doing well and what's my problem with him. I laughed because I didn't believe him. But then I realized he wasn't laughing. That's when I knew he was serious.
I got so angry and I went to Steven. I shouted at him and went back to my friend. The bell rang by then, so we went to class. Steven looked confused. I tried my hard not to explode and thankfully I didn't. I just can't believe he can go from someone I know to someone I don't. Finally school ended and I ran so fast to my bus so I can't meet with him. I really don't want to see his face again.
