•DAHVIE'S POV•

As soon as I got out of the hospital, Jeffree texted me.

Jeffree: Dahvie. Jayy's moving. Back to Florida. We need to stop him. Come meet me at the U-Haul place downtown.
Me: okayy I'll be there asap.

I got in my car and drove to the U-Haul place. I saw Jayy's little Toyota and smiled. Jeffree was sitting in the passenger seat, probably waiting for Jayy.

I pulled my phone out and texted him.

Me: Where's Jayy?
Jeffree: he's inside filling out the forms. Come hide in the back seat.
Me: Perfect!!

I grabbed my keys from the ignition and hopped out. I ran across the parking lot and slid into the backseat.

"Dahvie!! Hide! He's coming!"

I grabbed the blanket on the floor and covered myself with it.

I heard the driver's side door open. Soon after, I heard Jayy's voice.

"I can't rent a truck because Florida is too long of a distance."

"I wasn't gonna let you move out there anyway," Jeffree laughed.

"Where are the keys?" Jayy said in confusion.

"I'm not giving them to you until you agree to make things right with Dahvie."

"Is that what this is about? Seriously? He. Doesn't. Want. Anything. To. Do. With. Me. What part of that don't you understand?"

I sat up and uncovered myself. "Yes I do Jayy."

"What the-"

"Just listen," I interrupted. "Jeffree texted me and told me you were trying to move. I'm not liking that at all. You don't have to leave. You can come back and love with me. We can try to start over."

"No, you listen, Dahvie. You made it clear in the hospital that you don't want to start over. Wanna know how I know? When you said 'At least not right away' you weren't looking at me. That's how I know you were lying. You were avoiding my eyes." Jayy turned to look at me.

"Yeah but I'm not lying now. You HAVE to stay!" I could feel the tears building up in my eyes. "I need you."

Jeffree intervened. "Dahvie, can I have your keys?"

I took my keys out and tossed them to him. "Thanks. Your car will be at your house."

Jeffree got out and left. Jayy and I didn't break eye contact once.

"Dahvie I know I upset you, but you really hurt me. Do you know what it would have been like for me if you would have actually died?" He was on the brink of tears now, too.

He turned to look out the windshield. I climbed over the center console to sit in the passenger seat.

"Jayy look at me. I know an apology won't fix anything, but it's a start. I want you to stay. I want you to at least try. You don't have to live with me, but at least stay. We'll get BOTDF back together."

He wouldn't look at me, so I grabbed either side of his face and made him look.

His eyes were wet and bloodshot. He had tears streaming down his face. His hands, although tightly clenched, were shaking.

"I love you Dahvie. I don't understand why I'm not good enough for you." He bowed his head and cried even more.

"Jayy. . . I don't. . . I never said you weren't good enough for me."

"Well then why the hell do I feel like I'm not?" He looked at me and I could see the pain in his eyes. I reach out and hugged him. I pulled him as close as the center console would allow.

"Jayy I love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. When you left, it felt like you took half of me with you. I haven't felt complete since then," I whispered. "That's why I don't understand. To be completely honest, you're way too good for me. I don't deserve someone like you."

I felt him laugh a little. "You really feel that way?" He whispered back.

"Mmmhmm."

He didn't reply. He just grabbed the keys from where Jeffree placed them and started the car.

He didn't say a word as he backed out of the parking lot and headed towards the interstate, although he did rub my thigh the whole time.
