Ch. 30: Three Years Later

•Jayy's POV•

Dahvie was asleep on the couch. It's been a long couple of weeks. We just got back from tour today and on top of that, my mom is coming to visit us soon.

I sat in the recliner beside the couch and turned on the tv, flipping through the channels. I decided to watch What Not To Wear to pass the time.

I eventually fell asleep, too, dreaming of the best day of my life; my wedding.

"Jayy?" I heard Dahvie whisper.

"Mmm?" I replied, not opening my eyes.

He didn't answer, but I felt him crawl onto my lap. He laid his head on my shoulder and placed a hand over my heart.

"I had a bad dream and I wanted to make sure you were okay."

His breathing was rough. His voice was uneven. He was crying.

"Baby, what happened? Why are you crying?" I opened my eyes and looked down at him.

"It was awful. You were there and the bad man got you and you died and it was so sad and I-" he couldn't finish. He was in tears again.

I wrapped my arms around him and kissed the top of his head. "Nothing is going to happen to me honey. I promise. Now how about we go get in bed and cuddle and try to go back to sleep?"

"Sounds nice," he whispered against my neck.

I carried him bridal style into the bedroom and placed him on the bed. I crawled up next to him and pulled out three blankets over us.

He cuddled up next to me, his head on my chest, our legs entwined. I placed both of my hands on his back, gently tracing his spine.

I was slowly drifting off when Dahvie woke me again.

"Jayy," he hesitated. "I want a baby."

Wow. It's been a journey. Thirty chapters. This is crazy. I started off thinking no one would read this and then y'all started liking it and commenting and I'm so happy!!!!!
