•Jayy's POV•

Weeks have passes since Dahvie and I made our wedding plans. Tomorrow is Christmas. I have about a week before I propose. I'm going to do it on New Year's right at midnight.

"Jayy!!" I heard Dahvie tell from upstairs.

"Yes honey?" I yelled back, shutting my laptop.

"I need you," he replied, a little softer.

"I'll be right up." I jumped up off the couch and ran up the stairs, two at a time.

"How does this look?" He smiled as he walked into the hallway.

He was wearing an oversized sweater that read "Hail Santa", black skinny jeans, and a Santa hat.

"You look adorable. I can tell you're ready for tomorrow."

"Yup. Mostly because I got you the best present ever. But also because tonight I'm gonna make a bunch of cookies for our party tomorrow night."

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist. "You didn't have to get me anything. Getting to keep you forever is good enough for me," I whispered in his ear.

"Well. . .I already bought it. . .so you'll have to take it. . .but. . .I mean yeah. . .I totally agree. . .with the whole keeping you. . .forever. . ." His face was hot against my neck. He was blushing.

"I love you." I kissed the top of his head.

"I love you too."

"Jayy can you hand me the flour?"

"Of course." I grabbed the flour from the pantry and sat it on the counter in front of Dahvie.

"Thanks babe," he smiled. He sifted some flour into his mixing bowl and got to work making the cookie dough.

"Dahvs, do you need any help?"

"I don't think so," he stated.

"Okay, well I think I'm gonna go out for some last minute shopping if that's okay with you."

"Yeah, that's fine. You're probably bored out of your mind watching me bake."

"Nah," I laughed. "You're cute when you bake. And cook."

"I am?" He turned to look at me. "How so?"

"Well, you do this cute little thing when you read the recipes; you kinda stick your tongue out a little bit. And you also seem to smile a lot."

"Baking makes me happy," he looked at the floor with an embarrassed look on his face.

I reached up and tilted his face up towards mine. "Why are you embarrassed? Not much makes you happy anymore Dahvs, so when something does, you shouldn't be embarrassed. I'm glad you can cook because if you couldn't, we'd probably starve!!"

He giggled and kissed the tip of my nose. "I need to finish these cookies. So you go out and do what you need to do. I'll be here when you get back."

"Alright," I sighed. I headed towards the front door. "I love you!"

"I love you too!" He replied, blowing me a kiss.

I laughed and walked out the door. I got in my car and went straight to the jeweler's to pick up Dahvie's ring.
