Yeji's Perspective
Yeji doesn't know where all this confidence came from. Throughout her 3 years of watching Ryujin from the bleachers, she's never once decided to initiate a conversation. She always made sure to leave once she sees Ryujin leave, just to make sure Ryujin's safe (is what Yeji uses to convince herself anyways). Then, how in the world did she find herself, driving her car, with Ryujin sitting in the passenger seat, and going to said girl's house?! Yeji takes a peek at the beautiful girl behind her as she waits for the red light to turn green.
Yeji could only see the outline of her face. The junior was sitting quietly, looking out of the window, head slightly tilted on the back of seat, with her arms on her lap, hands lightly laying on top of each other. Although Yeji usually loves being taken pictures of, she wouldn't mind being behind the camera this time, just to capture the pink-haired girl's look of serenity. She thinks back to what Lia said earlier during the day.
"Hwang Yeji! If you don't make a move on your hopeless love life then I will tell Ryujin everything!"
Yeji shivers thinking back to that conversation. 'Yup. That must be why I chose to talk to her today,' Yeji says in her head.
As the light finally turns green, Yeji dismisses her thought and continues driving. She almost slams against the brake when she hears Ryujin break the silence, but she was able to calm herself down before she did.
"Soo, you play a sport?" Ryujin questions to make small talk.
"Yeah, I'm in the volleyball team," Yeji softly replies.
"Oh, that's cool. Aren't you guys in season right now?"
"Yup! It's kind of hectic, being in season and all. But I really enjoy playing volleyball with my team, so it's all worth it!"
"Haha yeah, I get that feeling too. When's your first game? I'll try to make it and support you guys," Ryujin curiously looks at the driver.
"Oh, it's actually this week. On Friday," Yeji answers, her heart beating fast at the thought of Ryujin watching her play.
"Alright, I'll make sure to clear my schedule and make time to watch your game!" Ryujin says with her iconic whisker smile.
Yeji, once again trying not to swoon at Ryujin, returns the smile with one of her own eye smiles.

They reach Ryujin's house in a few minutes, ending their conversation of Yeji talking about her teammates and Ryujin talking about hers as well. It was a standard two-story house, similar looking to the rest of the houses along the street. A semi- large tree lay in her front yard, with a wooden porch swing attached to one of the lower sturdier branches. It looked really old and dirty, as if it hasn't been used for a while. The intricate stone pathway leading up the porch was nicely designed. The porch itself has a small table and 3 chairs around it. The windows of the house was dark, prompting that there was no one home, and if there are, they were probably sleeping.
"Will your parents be worried that you're coming home this late?" Yeji asks as she parks into the driveway.
"Haha, nope. They're not actually here anymore," Ryujin says.
Yeji, shocked at hearing what Ryujin said, exclaims, "wha- wait- I'm sorry for bringing it up-"
Yeji stops when she hears Ryujin laughing beside her.
"Hahahaha. You're so funny and easy to tease, Yeji," Ryujin finishes laughing before she continues, "my parents don't live here. They got a job sometime 2 years ago and asked if I wanted to move with them. It was in the middle of my freshmen year, and I didn't want to move because I'll be leaving all my friends. Plus, it's when I found out I made it into the varsity team for soccer, so I couldn't just quit then. My parents understood and allowed me to stay in this house, telling me to make sure to call them weekly."
Yeji gave a small "ah," in response and was slightly embarrassed for jumping into conclusions. Although she was glad that Ryujin's parents were okay, she was saddened by the fact that she lived alone by herself.
"Don't you ever get lonely living all by yourself?" Yeji asked with wonder in her eyes.
"Not really. I did insist that the house was way too big for one person like me, but my parents said that it'll be too much of a hassle to move again, so I just stayed. Plus, I do get friends from time to time so it's not that lonely," Ryujin smiles at Yeji, reassuring her.
"Maybe we can hang out too sometime!" Yeji exclaimed before she realized what she said. "Err, I mean that's only if you want to, I know you have other friends and all-"
"Haha of course! After all, you're now my friend too! It's getting late so you better drive home now. Thanks for the ride, goodnight Yeji!" Ryujin smiles as she exits the car and walks up to her porch waving bye.
Yeji smiles and waves back as she exits the driveway and goes home. In fact, Yeji's house was in the complete opposite direction from Ryujin's but it didn't matter, because a smile was stuck on Yeji's face the entire way back.

A/N: shorter chapter, sorry! I'll be alternating from writing both my fics because sometimes I need a break from the angst in my other and sometimes I need a break from this fluffy one. :D
