"These series of tests are when the range of trainees drop," father explains. "Sometimes it's not necessary to determine who the winner is by another subsequent test because majority fail."

My confidence is withering at this moment, maybe he said that on purpose. To throw me off? Tricks might be the reason why many fail.

"I'll be evaluating your form," he tells me. "Not only that. But I'll be evaluating which form you choose and whether it is the most appropriate action." He smiles, which put me off for a second and then the next thing you know he's stepping back into dense smoke and disappears.

It's starting. No matter what I do, I cannot break form and I need to choose the right one. This ... this is the basics test?

Then all of a sudden, a human villager charges right at me with an axe- almost looking zombie-like. I, as an Angel have an obligation to mortals so I must not choose a form that is potentially deadly. I opted for a simple spirit contact. I held my stance, arms in front and once I touched him. I went through him. There was no substance inside so I couldn't spirit contact but he was gone.

That confirms it. This whole simulation is just a simulation. Meaning this is all an illusion. Then a Fallen Angel screeches from above and now all the forms have been drilled in my head, I flapped my wings at it so the wind would fly it away so it could buy me some time. Time to close my eyes and harbour energy to create a ball of (almost) pure light. To preserve energy, I let the Fallen charge at me and once it did it cowered at the light and disappeared as a result of my energy.

To make things easier, I expanded my aura. Although most of these threats are illusions and they have the same energy pattern, I thought I'd do it anyway to show my father that if all this was real ... I could attack easier.

The start surprised me, but know with all these threats popping up it was easy for me to get rid of them. But when they were all attacking me, it had been VERY long. It felt so, so, so very long. My energy began to cease and I was slowly reaching the point of exhaustion. When I finally showed signs of being tired, nothing happened they just kept piling on and on. Yet, I had to maintain perfect form and have the mental capacity to choose the right one.

It felt like I fought for a day, and that's when I realised that these beings weren't going to stop fighting me. I had to figure out a way to make it stop.

So if they were all just illusions ... that meant someone was making these illusions.

There's a witch here. I just needed to know where this bi- I mean witch is.

I use my remaining energy to expand my aura to find the largest concentration of energy which matches these illusions trying to attack me. Instead of fighting all these fakes on the cloud, I rocket up above to detect the witch. I felt it. She was settled up on the cottage, probably under some invisibility spell. I used, correct form and shifted through the air to then drop all my energy onto this witch. I attacked her by speeding down to her level and expelling my energy to trap her into not moving.

Because she couldn't move from being basically tied up in my energy, the illusions faded and she appeared.

It was that young witch. I released my energy and returned it back to me. My father also made himself visible since he was sitting right behind her.

"Well done Elsa, you passed."

The young witch smiled and nervously said, "Yay!"

"I was attacking for a day, at least."

"It was actually an hour," she corrected me. "The time was dilated so it was also an illusion too."

"I thought I was going to fail," I say. "Because not attacking was against the rules. You know how Heaven kind of values the accordance of rules?"

"I never stipulated the rules," father says and he smiles out of amusement. "This was the easy stage, I remembered almost every trainee passed this stage."

"Great." I roll my eyes.

"Next test will unfortunately not be an illusion," father explains. "You'll be out on the field meaning you're going to be doing some work in the mortal world."

"Wait ... this is still a test right?"

"Yes, you'll be following a boy and eliminating  threat in the Angel way."

"Who is this boy and what is the threat?"

He shrugs. "That is not my job. It is your responsibility as a Guardian Angel."

Huh. Guardian Angel is the term for the angels on the field? That did not sound right when that label was placed on me. My confidence wavered.

"How can I? Look at my aura."

Father places a hand on my shoulder and smiles reassuringly. "It is the perfect shade for this type of work."

A rare smile on his face was enough to instill a foreign confidence.

I follow my father into the cottage where with his abilities uncovered the secret portal which was on the ceiling. "I've programmed the world you will visit."

"You're not going to tell me?"

"No," he says. "Now step in and do your task."

"How will you know if I've completed it?"

"I will know. Don't worry."

My father didn't give me any further detail from that vague brief, so I just flew into the portal and stepped into that world.

And that world was the cursed ...

... 21st century.
