ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 𝟸: ɪʀᴏɴ ᴍᴀɴ ᴅɪᴇs ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴅ.

It wasn't even a fraction of a millisecond and the man with the cornflower blues caught himself, "I apologize, I didn't realize you had other clients waiting. Thanks for lending me your office space, Jerry." He goes to grab Jerry's hand to shake it.

His eyes weren't the only thing that set him apart from the rest. His suit was a beautiful shade of indigo, with the shirt unbuttoned at the top and a silk scarf hanging around his neck—who the hell still wears that hot stuff? I almost lost faith in the world. His iPhone was the latest model, encased in gold and his manly hands were very appealing.

Faye gently grabs my arm and I snap back into action.

"As I was saying," I speak up, gaining momentum "I'm Vee and she's Faye."

"This little sucker," Faye hands the older guy our business card, "can help you upgrade your game. Ever heard of Feng Shui, Jerry?"

"Not particularly..."

"It's the harmonisation of the surrounding environment with an individual, based on energy flow." she waves a hand, "But that's the interior design industry's jargon. Simply put, if you upgrade your environment, your business will follow."

She smiles at him and he seemed lost for a moment, "Not to mention, your ads which are littering this place, don't go with the interior, you can't just upgrade the outside and let the inside rot. The unionization of the two will surely affect the customers."

I couldn't focus, because all I can think about right now, is this weird sensation coming from the handsome man's direction, like he's piercing my skull with his gorgeous eyes, but I ignore it because I don't want to give him the satisfaction of knowing that he had an effect on me, because he really did and an embarrassingly big effect at that.
