Chapter 3: The Silver Lining Playbook.

Today is our D-day. Today is our meeting with the interior design team and Jerry at the cosmetics company. We're supposed to go over the plan that Faye had suggested and either pick or draw the pieces we're gonna contribute to the remodeling project.

Faye and I woke up so happy and energetic that even when we found out there was no more running water, we weren't phased and opted for plan b without so much as a single whine. We were so ecstatic about this opportunity that we vowed we were gonna milk the hell out of it and not let anything spoil it.

We headed to a hotel nearby that is hosting a convention of some sort. I did the usual spiel that we do when we found ourselves in this type of situation. Which is basically lying through our teeth to get to the public bathroom of the hotel or if we're lucky sneak our way into an unattended hotel room. We only managed that one twice, though.

So, I initiated the mission: I went to the receptionist and asked her if Todd Palmer has checked in yet. She, of course, said no since he was a fictitious character I invented. So, I picked up my phone and pretended to talk to him, 'figured' he was gonna be late and so I asked for the ladies' room since we had time to kill until 'he arrived'.

Faye and I head towards the bathroom without missing a beat as soon as we are told the directions, we open the door, check under the stall doors for people and when we find no one, we proceed with our regular protocol.

We put our bags on top of the toilets, we whip out our shampoo, put our heads under the sink and start washing. The lathering part of washing our hair happened inside the stall, so we don't get surprised by people coming in, even though it was a slim chance for that to happen since there was a convention and the hotel was ghostly when we got in.

We leave the stall to rinse our hair in the sinks, we do this process of lathering and rinsing one more time before we move on to our bodies. We take an unconventional shower, cleaning section by section our limbs, use towels to dry off then get under the hand dryer to dry off our hair once clothed.
