~ Jenna's POV ~

When I woke up it was as coming up from being under water too long, my head hurt and my mind were confused of where I was and why. I lay silent with closed eyes until I remembered what happened the other night. I tried to unwrap my memories of the dream of Marshall being here, the chaos in the room, Chrissy yelling, the nurse with the shot and then my dizziness. What happened last night? I think I need someone to explain it to me.

Slowly I opened my eyes and I could see a gray gloomy dawn outside my window. The chair that Cynthia used to be in was gone and I frowned at the fact that the whole chair had disappeared, not just Cynthia. I turned my head and jumped a little at the sight of someone sitting next to me.

Marshall?! But was this for real? Could I trust my foggy brain in this?

He was sitting leaning forward in Cynthia's chair with his arms and head beside me on the bed, holding my hand. He was asleep and by the looks of it he hadn't done much of that the last days. His beautiful face was pale and he had dark circles under his eyes. I tried to loosen my hand from his in an attempt to touch his cheek but he just grabbed it harder in his sleep.

I turned to lay on my side and stroked him over the head with my other hand. He was here. He was real. I could feel him. My mind suddenly felt clear as glass and in my eyes tears started to grow. Happy tears. Tears of joy. Although I had no idea why he was here or what he wanted, just the feeling of his hair and skin under my hands was extraordinary and I found myself smiling like an idiot when the door slowly opened.

Chrissy's head appeared and I put my finger to my mouth as a hushing gesture for her not to wake Marshall. She nodded and came in moving silently over the floor and picked up another chair to sit on beside me opposite Marshall.

"How are you, sweetie?" she whispered and I nodded at her as an answer and she broke out in a dazzling smile.

"I'm good" I said and looked over at the sleeping man again as I turned towards my sister-in-law. "I feel ... rebooted" I smiled shyly at her almost ashamed of my happiness. "Do you know why he's here?" I asked in a hope that they had spoken yesterday.

"Because he loves you, silly" she giggled and held her hand over her mouth to silence herself. "He really does and he has gone through hell this past week" she got more serious and frowned at him.

Tears pricked my eyes of shame of how I've treated him. I was selfish and foolish in my escape and I've hurt him so much.

"Do you think he ever can forgive me?" I whispered and a tear rolled down my chin.

"He already has" Chrissy took my hand and wiped away the tear. "He talked to Dr. Peters ... uhm, Cynthia yesterday and she told me about it".

"I don't know. I've hurt him really bad. I told him ... " my eyes pricked again and I tried to blink the tears away before they leaped out.

"I know I know but he's here now. Tell him you're sorry and he'll be fine" she smiled again and I nodded even though I wasn't sure of her prediction. "I'm gonna go now, I just wanted to check on you before I head to work. Take care and I see you this afternoon, okay" she rose and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"Okay, talk to you later" I said and stroked her chin as she leaned over me to kiss my forehead.

His head jerked when he woke up. I was on my side stroking his head again and he peered up at me with his beautiful eyes filled with hesitation. He probably was wondering in what state I'll be in this morning considering I was acting like a maniac last night.
