Chapter 6:

**Ashton's POV**

It's been about a month and a half now since my twin sister was abducted. The police did everything they could and still no sign of Emmy or her kidnapper. Another girl went missing about a week ago and the police are taking more of an iniative on the case. There's been similar cases in the past before Emmy was taken and now this girl was abducted in a similar way, from what the police and CSI's were telling us. My family hasn't given up on finding her but we are losing a little hope that she could still be alive. I have a gut feeling that she's still alive. We're twins and twins usually have some sort of telepathy between each other and I swear she has got to be alive still.

A knock sounds on the front door and I run downstairs to open it. I check my hair in the mirror and then turn to the front door. I open it up to reveal my girlfriend of two weeks standing there in some jeans and a slightly cropped tank top. Her long blonde hair falling over her shoulders and a smile on her lips.
"Hey, you ready?" my girlfriend, Bryana, asks me.
"Yeah, let's go," I shut the door behind me and she follows me to my car. I open the passenger side door for her and I look up to the sky with a slightly sad feeling in my gut. Once I get in the driver's side, Bryana immediately grabs my hand.
"I know Emily hasn't been found but trust me, she will turn up. Me and her were friends and yes, it hurts a lot but we just can't lose hope," Bryana says and pulls me into a tight hug.
"I know, but it's just so hard trying to believe that after so long," I tell her and tears start forming in my eyelids. She leans over and kisses me softly and wipes away the one tear that decided to escape my eye.
"We'll all get through this. Things will get better and she will be found," she tells me and I nod. I turn back towards the steering wheel and we're finally off for our afternoon out.

We arrive at the restaurant to meet up with Calum, Julia, Luke, and Michael. Julia is still having a rough time with this since Emily and her were best friends. Same thing with Michael. He still hasn't been taking this well. Bryana and I walk up to the front entrance and there stands Calum and Julia waiting for us but no sign of Luke and Michael yet.
"Hey guys," I say to them. They wave as we walk closer.
"Hey, how's it going, bro?" Calum asks me.
"It's going alright, dude. You?" I ask him in return.
"Everything is good so far," he replies.

A car drives up and out walks Michael and Luke.
"Alright mom, I'll call you afterwards, " I overhear Michael saying to his mother as he gets out of the car.
"Hi boys," I say to them, trying to be as cheery and positive as I can be.
"Hey," Luke says in a monotone way. I can tell he's still not taking this well at all.

We all walk into the restaurant and the hostess gives us our table in the corner by the front.
"Your waiter will be with you in a moment," the hostess says and we all nod. I look through my menu and I spot the meal Emily always orders when we come here and sadness starts coursing through me. I look around to everyone at our table and no one is smiling. Then of course Michael has to say the one thing that's on all of our minds.
"This was Emily's favorite restaurant. She used to always order the Bacon & Onion Ring Cheeseburger with extra fries," Michael says and frowns a bit. He starts tearing up and it causes all of us to tear up as well.
"I'll be right back," Luke says and quickly gets up from the table.
"Where are you going?" Calum asks him.
"Bathroom," Luke says with a quiet quivering in his voice. I watch him quickly walk away with his hand covering his face.

"Hi guys my name is Jacob and I will be your waiter this afternoon. Can I get you started with some drinks?" The waiter says to us. Luke isn't back and I'm a little worried about him. We all order our drinks and Michael finds something to order for Luke. I keep looking towards where the restrooms are and I kind of want to go check on Luke to make sure he's alright.
"Hey guys, I'll be right back," I tell everyone.
"Where are you going now?" Michael asks me.
"Bathroom. I'm just gonna check on Luke. He hasn't come out in a while now," I tell them and they agree that I should go find him.

I get up from the table and I head over to the restrooms. I open the door and I don't see Luke anywhere. But I hear a couple sniffles as if someone is sobbing their eyes out.
"Luke?" I say aloud.
"Go away, Ashton," I hear him say. I walk over to the stall I hear his voice coming from and knock on the door.
"Please come out of there. Let me talk to you," I plead.
"Fine," he says stubbornly and walks out. His eyes are all red and puffy and tears are still streaming down his cheeks.
"Luke, I know how you're feeling. I miss her too. She's my sister," I tell him and pull him into a hug but he pushes me away.
"Ashton, I love her. I could've told her how I felt but no, I had to be such a coward and lost my chance. She's gone, Ashton," Luke raises his voice and his sobs are harder this time. Watching Luke cry has made my worn out tear ducts begin working again. The salty tears start streaming down my cheeks as well. Just when I thought I couldn't cry anymore, seeing Luke this upset brought the sadness out of me again. I pull him into a hug again and this time he accepts the hug. I hold him tight and we both continue crying. We let go finally and try to finally breathe after all of this crying.
"Maybe we should get back to the table before anyone starts worrying," Luke says.
"Good idea but let's make sure they don't see that we were bawling or else they'll all start bawling and we'll just get back to this stage again," I laugh and wipe my eyes with some paper towels and Luke does the same. We both take a deep breath in and out and we begin feeling a bit better now luckily.

Once we're back at the table the waiter was already there taking everyone's orders. Luke and I quickly tell him what we'll order and then sit down with the rest of our group.
"Alright, I'll be back to check on you all in a little bit," the waiter says and walks away with our menus.
"Hey, I thought of the best idea for our next gig. Everyone else thinks it's great but I thought I'd still run it by you since you guys weren't here when I mentioned it," Michael says.
"Sure, what is it?" I ask him.
"Okay so we're playing our next gig at that little restaurant and bar place right? Well I'm thinking about calling them up and making it a special show we can dedicate to Emmy. What do you think, bro?" Michael asks me. I think for a second and honestly it's a great idea.
"Yeah! That sounds like a perfect idea! So this show will be in a week and a half then so we already have plenty of time to prepare and get people to come to this then!" I say with excitement. Luke nods in agreement with me and we all decide that our next show is dedicated to my missing sister, Emily, since she can't be there. If she's dead by then I know she'll be looking down on us and feeling very proud of everything we've done as a band. After all, she was our number one fan.
