Me and You (ShinobuxTomioka)

The warmth

Tomioka stared ather dumbfounded. How could she not be comfortable? Tanjirou and Nezuko rarely ever lay their heads on his lap nowadays and they missed it. They always say that it's warm and nice to lay their heads on. It made him fuzzy inside but his face never showed it. Shinobu was still struggling and he just realised as he snapped out of his thoughts. "I said let go of me!" she yelled at him and he sighed. He released her she quicklu got up and exhaled a sigh of relief. "I was just helping," he says. "You don't just pull people like that, how is it totally okay for you?" Shinobu asks as she hugs herself. "Well, I dunno. Just felt like it," he plainly says and shrugs.

"Well, don't do that again. You have to think of what other people feel too," she says and crosses her arms then look away. "Well whatever, it's night though. You sure you're not cold?" he asks. "I am absolutely not!" she retorts. He just nodded and they stayed silent once again. It was getting awkward and neither wanted to speak for the meantime. "You're still not tired?" he asks, breaking the silence that  as pressuring both of them. "N-no, the night isn't that cold," she says and rubs her arms up and down. At the worst possible moment, the wind blew lightly but it still carried heavy cold air in its breeze. Shinobu shivered and she could feel her body shaking lightly. She cursed at herself for having to go out without a jacket for the night. It's also his "fault" because he said they could go for a walk in the park. By now, she would've went back to her warm home and snuggle with her pillows and blankets but nooooo, he had to appear huh? Everytime was just pure coincidence. In her thoughts, she thinks he's a stalker. That isn't true though.

"Hey, you fine?" he asks. Shinobu turns to look at him and smiled lightly but her lips were quivering as she did so. "Yeah of course, why not?" she asks and she managed to say it without her teeth chattering. "You're bad at lying," he says and looks away. "Huh?!" was what Shinobu thought. "That's all you say?! I honestly thought you'd be more concerned dammit!" she added to her thought. "Whatever, can we go back now?" she asks. "You wanna go back now?" he asks. "Yes and if you still don't then you can gladly stay here longer," she says and was about to turn on her heels and walk away. Back to her comfortable bed waiting for her back at home, where she can be kept forever warm. Just as she did turn around, she got pulled back down again. On. His. Freaking. Lap!

"Wha?! Stop that!" she complained. He didn't say anything but pull her closer and made her rest her head on his chest. She was unable to properly process what was happening and her cold body can feel the heat reaching her. "At least, you'll go home without freezing you stupid insect," he mumbled as he rested his chin on her head to keep her in place. Shinobu felt her heart thump rapidly and she can feel her face getting warm. She couldn't say no and she can't struggle either. His warmth is really strong that she never had any blanket warmer than this. She cursed herself and satyed there, not saying a single word. Shinobu can't even ask herself any questions further because she can't think of anything else.

Shinobu can feel her eyes slowly drop. She tried to stay awake but she can't even keep her eyes open anymore. With that, the warmth lullibied her to sleep. She was snoring lightly against his chest and he held her tighter. "Stupid insect, you were cold from the very start," he muttered as he just stared at the night sky. "And tonight is beautiful," he added.

The next day...........

"Wha?!" Shinobu screamed at the top of her lungs. Kanao was just yelled at by her. Well, Kanao didn't do anything wrong, it's just something that she just told her sister. "It's true, I'm not lying and I dare not," Kanao says as she holds up her arms in defense. "W-what..... H-how did this happen?! It really happened?!" Shinobu asks herself as she walked back and forth in the living room. Kanao currently told her that Tomioka brought Shinobu home. Here's what happened:

Kanao was still rechecking her answers in her math assignment when she heard the doorbell rang. "Huh? Did Shinobu nee-san forget her keys? It's unusual of her to do so," she thought before getting up and going downstairs. She quickly opened the door to see Tomioka carrying Shinobu bridal style and his jacket covered her lower body. "U-uh? Tomioka-san?" she asks, surprised. "Well, hello, I came to bring home the insect," he says, referring to Shinobu. "Where is her room?" he asked. "A-ah, yes, it's upstairs, follow me," Kanao says and moves out of the way to let him in. Tomioka entered and she closed the door behind him. Kanao began her way upstairs, Tomioka was just following close behind. They arrived at a white door that had purple butterflies along the sides and Kanao entered it. Tomioka follows and Kanao fixed the bed. He slowly puts her down and got his jacket then wore it as Kanao pulled the covers over her. She then led him back down to see him off. "Thank you for looking after Shinobu nee-san," Kanao says as she bowed then stood uo straight. "Yeah well, that was no problem. Can you tell her something when she wakes up for me?" he asks. Kanao nodded and waited for him to continue. "Shinobu is a deadweight. She's the smallest insect that I've ever seen but she's so heavy. Tell her that she probably should start eating less pizzas," he said straighforwardly. Kanao was just at a loss for words as he just said that without even emotion in his tone or an expression on his face. It creeped her out. "I will, thank you again for bringing her home," she repeated. Tomioka nodded then waved before leaving the house.

Present---

"Also, he asked me to relay a message to you," Kanao says. Shinobu stopped her confused ranting and turned to look at Kanao. "What did he say?" she asked. "He said that you're a deadweight. You're the smallest insect he's ever seen but you're still so heavy. You should eat less pizzas. That's what he said," Kanao honestly told her and Shinobu froze in her place like a rock statue that cracked. Of course she believed Kanao, Kanao could never lie to her of all people. "Oh... He said that?" Shinobu asked in a low tone. Kanao nodded. "Well, I'd like to go thank him for tonight then," Shinobu says as she had anger surrounding her and she was ready to punch him.

Kanao just let her be as she began to go up the stairs. "Tomioka-san is in big trouble," she thought.

Meanwhile---

Tomioka was just encoding something in the computer again and he sighed for the fifth time this afternoon. "You always look so tired," Mitsuri says to him. "Well, I have to work," he just replied. "She's saying that so you will realise and then walk out to go take a nap!" Iguro yelled from across the room. He always had good hearing lmao. "Don't yell please, I'm just about to crack this level," Muichiro says in his monotone voice. "Hey, you finally came back to work again for today only and all you do is play games?!" Sanemi shouts. "Everyone! Please be quiet, we are working," Rengoku yells loudly and everyone heard. "Yes, please work silently," Gyomei added.

With a sigh, Tomioka leans against his chair and stared at the ceiling. With the blink of an eye, he felt something sharp against his neck. He sits up straight to notice Shinobu holding a scalpel tobhis neck. Another of her killing attempts on him? "Hello again Tomioka-san," Shinobu says with a demonic smile on her face. "Oh hey, how was your sleep?" he asked. Completely ignoring the fact that there's a scalpel right onto his neck! "It was fine thanks and I have to repay you," she says then swings the scalpel in attempt to slice his neck. As usual, he quickly avoided it and backed away. "Eh?! Tomioka-san and Shinobu-san are fighting?!" Mitsuri panicked. "Hey! What are you two doing fighting in the quarters?!" Sanemi yelled. "Who is that woman?" Muichiro asks as he pointed at her.

"Get back here Tomioka-san! I need to repay you!" Shinobu shouts as she chased him around the whole place at top speed. "No," was all he said.

"These two," Tengen says with a sigh and just watched them.
