Trick or Treat

Halloween came along, finally it has! Everyone had decorated their homes, put up dummies of skeletons or ghosts, theme parks had halloween everywhere, adults are buying more decors and candies to give to the kids who will be by their doorsteps. Some teens threw parties at their homes. It was around 6 pm and the girls decided to fix themselves at Mitsuri's house since she would be taking care of their make-ups. The boys just stayed at Tomioka's place where they prepared themselves as well. Muichirou agreed to stay in his house and be the one to give candies to kids because Tomioka wants to look after the siblings.

"And........Done! Have a look!" Mitsuri says as she puts the brush down and held a mirror up to Nezuko's face. Nezuko's eyes beamed and she happily nodded then thanked her. "It's no problem. Now, Aoi-chan, come here for you turn," Mitsuri says as Nezuko gets up from the seat. Aoi blushed before sitring down and let Mitsuri take care of her. Nezuko sat on one of the couches and waited, not long after, she heard footsteps coming towards the room. Looking behind her, she sees Kanao and Shinobu come into view. Her eyes sparkled as she jumped off the couch and ran towarda the two then hugged them. Shinobu giggled and Kanao smiled. She then lets go of them and Shinobu asks, "How do we look?" Nezuko happily nodded her head up and down while holding a thumbs up. "Beautiful!" she blurted out.

"You look stunning as well!" Shinobu says with a smile as she patted her head. Shinobu is a witch, Kanao is a ghost, Nezuko is a cat, Mitsuri is a nine-tailed fox and Aoi is a nurse. Nezuko just enjoyed the pats she get. "We're done!" Mitsuri called out and the three walked into the other room. "You two look great!" Shinobu complimented. "Thank you! I love putting on costumes!" Mitsuri cheered. "Thank you too," Aoi says with a light blush. Kanao held her arm and smiled, Aoi smiled back. "Let's get going then!" Shinobu cheered and the rest fist pumped the air as well. Nezuko was the first to dash out the door and waited  for them. "N-Nezuko-chan, you forgot your bag!" Kanao called out and chased after her. The three behind giggled as they followed behind, bags in their hands and out the door they go.

The group once again met up each other at the house of a random person. Such a coincidence lmao. "Guuyyys! Over here!" Mitsuri called out while waving her hand in the air. "Mitsuri-san! We're coming!" Tanjirou called out and they sprinted towards the girls after they went off the doorstep of the house. "Wow, you gals look stunning! How beautiful!" Rengoku happily commented. "That's nice to har from you Rengoku-san," Shinobu replied with a smile. "Nezuko-chan looks so cute!" Zenitsu commented. "Aoi looks like a mommy!" Inosuke commented. "How so?!" Aoi replied. "You're like my mommy so now wonder you decided to be one!" he replied. "I'm a nurse," Aoi replied. "Aren't nurses like moms to people?" Inosuke asked. The group laughed and Rengoku patted his back. "That's not how to compliment a woman my boy!" he stated then laugher. Aoi just huffed and folded her arms. Kanao shyly approached Tanjirou and tugged his sleeve. "H-how do I look?" she asked. "You look like a beauty as always Kanao-chan!" he replied which made her smile and blush. Iguro just silently stayed beside Mitsuri. "Well, can we go around now?" Tomioka asked making the group notice him at the back.

"Ooohh Tomioka-san looks so awesome! So handsome!" Mitsuri complimented which made Iguro roll his eyes. Tomioka just nodded then the group sprinted towards random houses for trick or treating. They had a lot of fun going around and checking how much candy they have gathered. At the back of the group mostly were Shinobu and Tomioka. "Why don't you join them Tomioka-san?" Shinobu asked. "I'm too old for these things," he replied. "I doubt that you never went for treat or tricking when you were young," she replied. Tomioka and her paused since the group went to another house. "I did, I did a lot. With my sister mostly, and my two friends........." he stated. Shinobu was curious as to who they were, it's not common to see him like that or even at least imagine him like that. "Where are they though? You sounded like you were very happy back then," Shinobu asks. "They're dead," Tomioka said directly. Shinobu paused and stared at him surprised. His eyes were looking dead but she sees the sadness through it. Were they so precious to him? Are they the reason that he is like this now? "Tomioka-san, are you okay?" Shinobu asked. "Yes I am, it's not like you actually care," he answered. Shinobu smiled with a tic mark on her head. "Excuse me?" she asked as she held up a vial of purple liquid. "What do you mean by that?" she asked as she removed the vial's small cork. "Eh?" he asked.

Shinobu was about to throw the poison on him when Tanjirou called out to them. This got their attention and they just nodded and continued following them. With that, they did a few more houses and stopped by the fountain in the middle of the park. They counted their candies and Inosuke is now yelling at Mitsuri to challenge him since she got the most candy and he was second to her. Mitsuri just laughed with everyone and Inosuke just ranted on more until Aoi had to smack his head to get him to shut up.

Skiptime~

The group decided to have a sleepover at Tomioka's place. It was big enough for them and there were a lot of extra futons, blankets and pillows. It was almost midnight and they wanted to stay up until 1 am so they decided to play games. It was fun and lively inside, there was laughter and funny arguments. Shinobu excused herself and went upstairs to wash her face. When she was done, she was surprised at what happened. It was weird but they all suddenly fell asleep. Mitsuri was busy moving them all to their futons and putting blankets over them. "What happened here?" Shinobu asked with a sweatdrop. "I dunno but when we asked Tomioka to sing, he sang but he was so.... Boring lmao," Mitsuri stated. Shinobu laughed lowly and helped her with putting the blankets over them.

Mitsuri went to sleep after saying "goodnight" to Shinobu. Shinobu was about to go to bed when she felt thirsty. With that, she heads towards the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. Shinobu drank it all and sets it in the sink. Just as she was about to head back, she noticed Tomioka outside, standing by the tree and staring up towards the sky. "What is that idiot doing out there?" she thought as she stood by the glass sliding door. She slid it open and walked towards him. Shinobu was about to speak but she paused when she noticed the small smile on his face. She was mesmerized, never did she think that he would be one to smile.

"Tomioka-san?" she asked as she walked closer. "Huh? Oh it's you," he stated as he turned his head to face her. His smiled disappeared and was back to his normal blank face. "What are you doing out here?" she asked. "Staring at the moon," he answered. Shinobu wanted to laugh but she giggled to lessen it. "Right. Anyway, Mitsuri-san said that they fell asleep because of your singing haha," Shinobu says. "I know, it was the point. Those two are way past their bedtime anyway," he answered then stretched his neck. "Well..... Tonight was kinda fun," Shinobu says.

"You could say, but I never really bothered," he stated. Shinobu sighed and stayed silent. Looking up to the moon, it seemed familiar to her. "The moon is so bright, reminds me of that one halloween night 13 years ago," she blurted out. "You also have a memory about halloween?" he asked. "I do, I always have memories about special times but..... That one night 13 years ago, it was.... Precious," she says while putting her hair behind her ear with a light blush on her face. Tomioka noticed and became curious about it. "What happened?" he asked. Shinobu snapped out of if and huffed. "I won't tell! It's personal. Although, can I know yours?" she replied innocently. Tomioka sighed then leaned against the tree. "If you insist....." he answered.

FLASHBACK~

It was around 7 pm that night, the night of halloween. Tomioka was around 8 years old that time and his sister was sick. In her room, she lied on the bed and juat coughed. Tomioka was beside her, staring at her in worry. He was ready in his costume, his sister promised him that they would go out together. "I'm sorry Tomioka, I can't go out tonight," she weakly says in a regretful tone. "I know how much you wanted to spend time with your big sister," she says with a small smile as she reached out to carress his cheek. "Nee-san, I won't go out unless you come with! I'll stay with you!" he retorted as he held her hand. "I know you will but you also want to go out and have fun. I will be fine, you can go with your friends," she answered and slowly sat up.

"They may be long gone somewhere around the neighborhood by now though, I don't know where to look for them!" he answered. "Well, I'm sure that you can make some friends on your way," she states with a low giggle. "But I wanna be with nee-san tonight!" he whined. She smiled and patted his head gently. "I want you to have fun tonight. Please do so for me. Please?" she asked as she smiled again. Tomioka really didn't want to but if it's for her then he would. Tomioka sighed then cracked a small smile at her. "I will for you nee-san!" he beamed.

With that, he sets off out the door, waving at her before dashing downwards the street. As he disappeared from her sight, she smiled and layed back down. "Have a fun night Tomioka-kun," she stated before closing her eyes.
