A/N same day.

"when you told me you moved to a new school I didn't think it would be here"Eren says as both him and Remi walk out of school.

Remi nods. "yeah, it was kinda unexpected really." She pauses. "I missed you eren, I thought I'd never see you again after what happened."

Eren frowns, feeling guilty. Giving her a sad but honest smile he pulled her by the waiste and like on instinct she leaned her head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there, I would have stayed you know, but.."

"but I told you that I could handle it and that you shouldn't miss your flight"Remi laughed softly at the memory.

"rem please! I can schedule another." Eren tried to reason. He was on the verge of yelling when he froze at the tear that fell from her eyes.

"i-its okay eren, I'll be fine" she said softly,  feeling warm hands gently caress her fragile figure. "I can handle another year, just go before your plane leaves"

Eren wanted to tell her, he really did. The price for another ticket wasnt a problen for him but, he wouldn't forgive himself if he made her cry again.

So, nodding in defeat. Eren bit his lip before carefully holding the girls face chin to face him and gently place a soft peck on her lips.

Tears weld up more and fell from both of their faces, pulling away. He brought her into a tight hug, remi was shaking and quiet sobs were escaping her lips.

Erens heart throbbed with guilt. He hated having to leave her behind. After a few minutes, his plane was called out and both of them slowly pulled apart.

"Call me anytime, I don't care if it's not an emergency. If you need me, just call and I'll be right over." Eren held both of her hands in his.

"I promise"

Remi smiled sadly and nods. watching as the plane flew off, and waved before leaving with her aunt and uncle.

Eren looked at her and the corner of his lip tugged upward. "I know, But now I can visit this summer. Just a few more months left" he explained.

Remi was quiet. then she looked up at him, and said. "are you really sure?" searching his eyes for hidden emotions. "is this really what you want Eren? you know you'd be leaving so much.."

Sighing, he shook his head. "I'm sure, I left you alone for 3 years Rem. And thats not just something I can ignore, I'll be there for you even if I have to-" He stopped.

Remi stared at him, waiting for what he was gonna say next. "even if ?" she says.

Eren gulped. "nothing.. sorry, I just ramble sometimes"

Giggling, she brought her hand up to his hair and lightly brush her fingers through his locks. " you goof" Eren laughed.

"I know," They walked up to her apartment, and before remi entered her door.

"well see you to-" Remis eyes widen, strong arms wrapped around her from behind and she gasps when she felt metal being pushed against her back.

"thought you could get away princess?"

Eren stumbled when he was forced back. "h-hey, whats your problem! leave her alone!" he exclaimed.

The man smirked, "oh, looky here. I see a reunion. Well, doesn't that bring back memories." He says menicingly.

Eren looked at him puzzled, but soon glared as he saw his gun. "I don't know what your talking about but get off her!"

He tried to distract him by throwing the closest thing he could find at him.
The man laughed and brought his gun up and shoot.

Remi could only shout for help as she tried to escape the mans grip, seeing something sharp by his hip. She looked at him to make sure he wouldn't notice and stomped on his foot.

The man yelped in pain and growled. "why you little-" Eren kicked him down and grabbed his gun. He punched him and put his weight on his legs and pinned him down.

Eren looked over at remi. "quick call the cops!" he yelled. As he fought the man triying to get Eren of him.

Remi nodded and quickly called the police.  "why are you here!" she called out to the man. She was frightened, another attemp was made and luckily Eren was here to stop it.

the man groans as Eren kicked him again, "why wouldn't I be? The game isn't over yet princess." he said.

Eren furroweds his brows in confusion. "rem what's he talking about" eren questioned. looking back at rem, but in doing so the man lifted his foot loose and managed to throw him off.

"eren!" Remi ran up to help him as the man grabbed his gun and ran out the door. "are you okay?"

Eren nods, looking at her then to the door. "who was that guy, and why was he after you" eren asked.

Remi helped him up and locked the doors and windows shut. They sat on the couch before saying, "it's a long story." Remi says, sighing as the memories rush back to her.

Eren put his hand on top of hers, "I have time..." remi smiled at him looking down at theit hands before nodding.

"ok I'll tell you," shifting so that they were face to face. Eren saw the look in her eyes and frowned the anger, pain and sorrow could be seen inside them. "It..happened a few months after you left germany that summer" she started.
