Dylan's P.O.V
The moment the question fell out of my stupid stupid mouth I froze. What was I thinking? Of course she would refuse me! I've been a asshole to her. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!!
"Yes. Yes I will. I will Dylan Laxington."
I blinked. Wait... did she just say yes? She said yes? Okay act like you already knew that she would agree.
"Alright, knew you'd say that." I said smirking but inwardly smiling.
"Okay... so class, if you've chosen a partner be warned that this person is going to be your partner for the rest of the year. They'll be your partner for any partner assignments and any partner events."
I relaxed, it seemed as if Sandy was a studious person, so I could leave all the work to her. No. I can't think that. Plus I would have an excuse to meet up with her.
I smiled to myself.
"Ugh, what's with that creepy smile?"
I toned down my smile and looked at Sandy.
"Well shall we dance cupid?"
"The teacher hasn't even told us what to dance yet!" She protested.
"So what? We can make up our own one!"
I picked her up bridal style before she could protest again and walked to the middle of the gym.
Some people stared at us their eyes wide open and jaws hanging others just watched us curiously.
Sandy's P.O.V
Dylan tugged us into a waltzing position.
"Okay so whenever I move, move to the opposite side and please trust me to lead you, I promise I won't drop you."
I peered back at him through my eyes lashes, "you don't have my trust Dylan."
He pouted, "why not?"
I rolled my eyes, "fine."
He moved to his left and I moved to my left. Had moved to the right and I moved to my right. We kept dancing like that, sometimes he would swing me outwards into a few twirls. Then he dipped me backwards, gripping my waist tightly.
"You alright? Wanna stop?" He whispered in my ears huskily.
I looked around and saw 28 pairs of eyes fixed on Dylan and I. I wasn't used to so much attention and my head started swimming. The floor spun, I lost my footing and if wasn't for the raven swooping in to catch me I would've fallen onto the ground.
He picked me up bridal style again, walked back to sit down placing me on his lap again! I stood up and tried, note the word tried to sit next to him but do you know what he did?
...
If your answer was pulled me back down to sit on him then hallelujah you've won the Sandy's predicting competition!
I heard a throat being cleared, "Well that was a nice impromptu demonstration of what partner dancing will involve this unit."
The class laughed.
"So students, take your partner to the middle of the gym. Sandy, would you please be my demo partner seeing as you seem to already know how to dance."
"Ugh..." I hesitated.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DANCE!!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!
Girls pointed death glares at me.
"Okay? What's the worst that could happen."
Mr Harns led me to the middle of the gym floor and pulled me into a basic ballroom waltzing position. I squirmed when he lightly touched my waist. It seemed that this touch didn't go un-noticed, as a feral growl sounded from behind me.
Heh. Whatever.
As I stepped through all the dancing steps for classic ballroom dancing as Mr Harns demo partner Dylan sat on the steps eye assessing him, as if he was a threat. I enjoyed being the teacher's dance partner even if it was only for a while. I mean who wouldn't? Especially not if your teacher was smoking hot.
* * * * *
So the whole entire class was spent dancing to the beat of the classical beat ballroom music. It was a really really really interesting lesson. Note the sarcasm. Except maybe the dancing with Mr Harns. Aside from that the whole lesson was so embarrassing.
When the bell rang for recess Alana was waiting for me outisde on side of the gym. Dylan held me back.
"Uhmm hey... do you maybe wanna join my group?" He asked casting his eyes to the floor.
"Uhmmm...." I looked around and saw Alana. "Just wait a minute, is it alright if my friend joins you?"
He nodded his head in response.
Walking up to Alana I asked, "Hey you want to join me and sit with a group?"
She looked curiously at me. "Okay.."
I linked arms with her, dragging her with me and yes this time it was me dragging her, not the other way round.
Reaching Dylan I said, "Well we're all set to go!"
Dylan and Alana looked at each other. A look of pain passed over her face. Dylan turned away awkwardly.
Hah!....What the heck is going on? Did they have a failed attempt of a girlfriend and boyfriend relationship or something?
I looked up again and saw that the two of them were refusing to make eye contact and had angled their bodies away from each other.
"Okay, guys, I know that breaking up with each other and then meeting each other is rather awkward but please try to become friends, besides I've heard lots of ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends becoming really good friends." I tried to comfort them.
The two whipped their heads around to face me, their eyes were dilated and their jaws hung like laundry on a washing line.
"I mean, I know I'm really good at reading situations but you guys don't have to react like that. You guy'll definitely become friends again, then maybe you can try to have again to have a more intimate relationship.... So Dylan, where are we sitting? Hurry up, we're wasting time and I would really much like to eat my morning dose of energy thank you very much!"
"Ugh okay, ugh.. follow me. " I sighed in relief when Dylan finally decided to come back to planet Earth and break the tension.
I walked behind him excitedly but when I looked next to me Alana had her head hung downwards as if ashamed, her eyes held a fear I had never seen before on her.
By the time I looked up again we had already reached Dylan's table leaving me no choice but to walk on.
I identified a feeling over-riding my conscience. Confusion. What had happened between Alana and Dylan?

My Tears
