Sandy's P.O.V
I smiled to myself.
I can't believe he's back!!!
And yes I do mean him...
Tyler.
Yes.
Tyler.
Tyler.
Tyler.
Tyler my dear older brother.
That I hadn't seen for like 3 years.
He was going to school with me starting from tomorrow. I was so excited I literally couldn't sit still.
"Ms Silverstone what is wrong?"
I looked up to see my Maths teacher Ms. Reber staring at me down her nose. I looked at the ground, trying to hide my burning face.
"Um Miss I'm just excited that my brother's back." I replied truthfully.
Ms. Reber's sharp gaze softened and she smiled down at me, "Good for you Sandy...good for you." She said before turning away from me and walking down the aisle back to her place at the front of the classroom next to the smart board, where she wrote up another set of algebraic expressions.
The bell rang and I shot outside where Alana was waiting for me. Together we sat under a shady tree and Alana handed me one of her promised muffins. I heard a thump next to me and turned around just to come face to face with Dylan. I jerked backwards and fell onto Alana who looked at me questioningly, then looked up and saw Dylan, a flash of pain crossing her face before she turned back to face me helping me to sit up.
"So um Sandy who was with you yesterday?" He asked me casually, clearing his throat.
"Umm..why do you need to know?" I asked back.
"Just..just tell me. "
~Flashback
I watched as his silhouette made its way towards the front door and crept behind him quietly. He opened the door, shouldering his backpack and dragged his luggage outside.
What is he doing?
"Ty? Where are you going?"
My brother's silhouette froze, caught in action. He slowly turned around.
"What are you still doing up this late San?"
I looked at the ground. "I saw heard sounds from your room and woke up. I followed you..." I mumbled.
"Okay, come on! Let's get you to bed." He swung me over his shoulder and stalked to my room. After he tucking me in he pushed my hair back and kissed my forehead. "I'll be back soon. Love you sis. Goodbye."
But when I woke up the next morning he was gone. ~ End Flashback
I glared at Dylan through narrowed eyes and heard Alana scoff next to me.
"Ever heard of privacy." She muttered under her breath.
"As a matter of fact yes, but I didn't realise it existed so strictly in the name of friendship." He shot back.
"Well it does, and you were never her friend to begin with, so back off." Alana bit out through gritted teeth.
I cleared my throat. "Umm it's alright, Lana, it's just a sore topic Dylan, sorry..."
Dylan turned to look at me, startling me with the tenderness that shone through his eyes. He nodded and then turned back to face the rest of the courtyard and peaceful silence settled around us. I took out a book and got stuck right in it before it was plucked lightly from my grip.
