Dylan's P.O.V

I watched amused as Brianna fussed around, screaming in frustration as much as she was in fear. Bugs and other creepy crawlies were always her weak points. She hated them. Sandy had nailed the best comeback for her! Thinking about Sandy made my heart ache. She had ignored me for the whole day today. From roll call right down to the last second of the day, not that I actually counted or anything. But this was the first time someone has ever shown so much disdain towards me.

I wanted to be her friend. She had seemed so interesting on the first day. And not being able to approach her, her being forbidden only magnified my want for her! Okay. That sounded really wrong. It's just that you know when you tell little kids that they can't have that cookie and the moment you turn your back they're crawling up to the counter to get it? It felt like that right now. And I wasn't a kid.

I wanted her to be my friend.

Sandy and Alana walked through the school doors and my gaze fixated on the cookie that I couldn't have.

"Yo man you coming?" Vincent my mate called.

I nodded my head and climbed into his Jeep Compass, reminding me of Sandy's Jeep as well. I stared off after her craning my neck to get a better view of her.

"Man you're whipped."

"Shut up Vincent! I just wanted to be her friend man."

"Sure..She's turned you mushy." He nudged me winking. "You're just in a state of denial man."

The next day, I saw Brianna and her minions crowding around whispering frantically. No doubt planning their next move. I edged closer trying to get a whiff of what they were saying. Obviously the first prank hadn't even scared Sandy. She had handled it very nicely, by just "casually cleaning blood out of her locker". I caught the words "gym" and "clothes" in their intense conversation.

A loud ringing of the bell broke the group apart with Brianna asking her minions if all things were set. Her girls answered with vigorous nods of their heads. I headed towards my roll call room remembering the first time that I had met her.

I was an arrogant fool and she was a sensible studious girl.

We could've made the best couple, afterall good girls always fall for the bad boys.

Now what am I thinking?

Sandy walked into roll class her head buried in a book. Wuthering Heights. I should've known. She was a romance girl caught up in all her novel based fantasies. I saw her gym bag slung across her shoulder and tugged it free the moment she reached me. I guess she was too into her book to realise that one of her bags had been stolen.

A girl tried to point it out to her by tapping her shoulder but I looked at her and brought a finger to my lips and shook my head. She pulled back immediately.

Roll call proceeded as normal and so gym class came by. I rushed out of the classroom eager to hide her bag in the boys bathrooms so that Brianna's minions couldn't do anything to Sandy's clothes. A smile plastered itself on my face when I remembered that Sandy and I were gym partners. But when I got out of the boys bathroom I saw her dancing in the arms of Mr Harns again.

Anger struck me and I wanted to rip off his arms. How dare he dance with my partner!

Go get your own partner!

I hated him!

The lesson progressed and I ended up dancing with another girl whose partner was away. I gripped her hands hard in order to release all my negative energy.

"Ow-ow-ow! Stop it! You're hurting me!" She cried prying her hands away from me.

Shoot! I forgot that I was holding a girl's hand.

"I'm sorry. I didn't realise." I apologised.

In the middle of the lesson I saw a bunch of Brianna's minions march into the girls' bathroom. A cry of frustration escaped their lips. I smirked. They couldn't find her clothes.

By the end of the lesson I as still furious at my lack of contact with Sandy. Another cry of fury echoed through the gym when we had to go change, but this time it was Sandy's voice. Mr Harns raced through to the girls' bathrooms.

What the actual...he's a dude he's not allowed in the girls' bathroom! What a "peeping tom"!

"I can't find my clothes Sir! Someone must have taken them!" Sandy complained to the teacher.

I growled when I found Mr Harns slowly checking Sandy out, his eyes lingering a bit too long on her legs for my taste.

I crossed the gym to the girls' bathroom Sandy's bag slung over my shoulder.

Her eyes widened as she looked at me. "How DARE YOU?! How dare you take my clothes!" She yelled glaring at me.

Girls gasps could be heard from the change rooms.

"Wai-" I was cut off by Mr Harns dragging me by my collar to his office, Sandy snatching back her bag as he did so.

"Son. Why did you take her bag?" Mr Harns asked me when we reached his office.

"Tch. Why should I tell you?" I scoffed.

"Because if you don't then you will get a detention for peeping into the girls' change rooms." He replied smugly.

"Because Brianna and her little minions were going to steal her clothes as payback." I hissed clenching my fist.

The teacher's eyes widened. "Sandy's being bullied?" Concern filled his eyes.

I pushed back the anger that was threatening to burst.

He's a teacher he has a right to be concerned.

But still the way he said Sandy's name with such friendliness ticked me off.

"Why were you partnered with Sandy today?" I growled out.

"Jealous? Laxington?" He chuckled.

"And if I was?" I challenged him.

All amusement was stripped from his face. His eyes glinted dangerously. "Stay away from her Laxington. You'll just hurt her." Mr Harns warned me.

"Oh?" I arched my eyebrow. "How do you know?"

"I was informed." He replied arrogantly.

What a conceited joke!

"We'll see.." I stared at him.
