"That was kind of uncalled for. He's just overreacting," Mia murmured. We were both lying on the bed next to each other, causally discussing the things that happened today. I turned on my side to look at her properly. Her hands were folded behind her head as she stared at the ceiling above us, deep in thought.

"Yeah. It's like he's mad at me for the whole Jordan thing," I told her.

She furrowed her eyebrows in response. "He's really got no reason to be. Everyone knows that was just a joke. You think he's more mad at that thing you said later?" She asked politely.

"Maybe yes," I said in a low voice. "I wasn't that rude, was I? Jordan punched him awfully and then maybe me saying that he couldn't handle it made it worse. Was their arguement really that intense? He never told us what exactly it was about," I pondered in slight intrigue.

She nodded her head slowly. "I have to admit Jordan was quite strong though. Sam could have gotten seriously hurt if he hadn't decided to shut up after falling down," she stated.

"Well yeah but do you think the boys wouldn't have done anything then? It would have turned into a whole war if they'd gotten involved," I reminded her.

Mia surprised me by abruptly rising up from the bed with a sigh causing me to straighten up too. "So anyway, have you decided what you are going to wear tonight?" She asked, strolling towards the closet.

"Nope," I declared, unlocking my phone to check if it was time to go out already.

"Good," she sent a smug smile in my direction before throwing her head inside the closet. "I have," she added.

I raised an eyebrow at her with interest, enveloping both of my arms around my legs as I watched her look at different dresses, trying to find the one she was probably looking for. My eyes brightened when she promptly took out a strapless golden metallic dress, a smirk begining to etch on her features.

"This is the one," she announced with a dazzling smile, lifting it up for me to see.

"Whoa," I commented, eyeing the gleaming fabric that covered the dress with fine delicacy. "Is that yours?"

She gave me a nod, a majestic smile playing on her lips. "But I want you to wear it tonight," she said.

My lips parted in awe as I felt a cheerful smile forming on my face. "Why?" I asked in a low voice, genuinely curious as to why she would be willing to miss out on an opportunity to wear a dress that gorgeous herself.

She smiled a tender smile at me. "Because I know how you felt when Sam offered Andy to sit behind him in that rude tone," she told me. "And I am sure you're gonna keep sulking about it later and have your mood spoiled soon. I want you to have a great time tonight. Maybe this would help," she explained.

I got up from the bed and sauntered towards where she stood with an adoring smile that mirrored the one that she had on her face. "Mia, you are just...wow... you're just too good to me," I told her, touched by her thoughtfulness before pulling her in a sudden bear hug.

She let out a laugh. "Yeah, you maybe should try that sometime too," she joked, rubbing my back in comfort. I pulled apart to gave her an immidiate pout, even though I knew she hadn't meant it at all causing another cackle to ripple through her in return.

"God, everyone is staring at us," Mia leaned in to whisper to me as we both continued to walk towards the reception, the classy pencil heels of our sandals clicking intimidatingly below us.

I flipped a handful of hair that were unnecessarily coming on my face behind. "Just keep walking like a queen," I ordered and she rolled her eyes, knowing that the stares surely wouldn't leave us alone tonight with the way we looked.
