Newt was laid in his hospital bed. He was five minutes after the successful surgery. The new lungs were transplanted successfully. Newt was alright. But Thomas wasn't. He didn't receive new lungs. The other two people didn't match. To top it all off, Thomas got infected.

You see, both Newt and Thomas had a disease called cystis fibrosis. It is a hereditary disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Since both of them had this disease, they could catch an infection. A deadly infection. They could catch it by saliva exchange. For example, they could never kiss. So they had to stay at least five feet apart from eachother. But one night, Newt and Thomas snuck out. Newt desperately wanted to see "the lights". They ended up having fun on a frozen lake. Unfortunately, the ice broke below Newt, and he started drowning. Thomas saved him, but Newt wasn't breathing. Thomas had no other choice, but to give Newt CPR. So he did. Newt ended up clear. No infection. But Thomas, on the other hand, got infected.

Now, Thomas was preparing something for Newt. A surprise before he was gone.

Newt started to slowly open his eyes. He had a tube in his mouth. He had tubes poking his skin everywhere. "Newt!" The blonde turned his head towards the voice, and saw his mother running towards him. She hugged him gently, so she wouldn't do any damage. Then, some doctors came in. He saw Barb come closer to him, holding a tablet in her hands. "It's for you, Newt." The blonde slowly took the tablet into his hands. On the screen, was Thomas. A play button was in the middle of the screen. Barb pressed the play button, and Thomas started talking.

'My beautiful bossy Newt,'

Thomas began talking, and Newt's eyes filled with tears. Meanwhile, Thomas stood outside and remained unnoticed. After the video ended, one of the nurses turned the lights off in Newt's room. That was a signal for Thomas. He plugged two cables he held the whole time together, and suddenly, the whole place was filled with bright lights.

Newt looked outside the window, staring at the lights in amazement. Then, Thomas started to walk towards the glass window. Once he made his way towards the huge glass window, Newt and Thomas stared at eachother. It pained them both, that the only thing in between them, was a glass wall. Thomas then took a deep breath. Suddenly, Newt's phone started buzzing. Barb picked it up, and handed it to Newt. Thomas had to call, because even of the glass window was thin, voices were barely audible when talked through. Everyone in the room proceeded to walk away, giving Newt and Thomas some privacy.

Then, Thomas smiled.

"Finally got you speechless. . ."

Thomas sucked in some more air.

"People are always saying, that if you love something, you have to learn to let it go."

He continued.

"I always thought it was such bullshit. . ."

Newt tried his best to smile, but the tube in his mouth made it difficult.

"Till I watched you almost die. . ."

His gaze dropped to his shoes.

"At that moment everything stopped"

He looked back at the beautiful blonde, that not once took his gaze off Thomas.

"Nothing mattered to me,"

His voice took on on a softer tone.

"Except you. . ."

Both their eyes started watering.

"I'm sorry. . ."

A tear slid down his cheeks.

"I don't wanna go. . ."

This time, tears came out of Newt's amber colored eyes.

"All I wanna is be with you. . ."

Said Thomas, his voice cracking a little. Newt put his hand on the glass, while more tears steamed down his cheeks. Thomas also put his hand on the glass. Both their hands would touch, if it weren't for the glass made barrier.

"I can't. . ."

"I need you to be safe. . ."

Another tear slide down his cheek.

"From me. . ."

Both of them knew it was true, but they didn't want to accept it.

"I don't know what comes next,"

He continued.

"But I don't regret it! Anything. . ."

Both boys sniffed.

"I love you. . . so much. . ."

Both of them cried more. It pained Newt, that he couldn't say it back. Newt squeezed his eyes shut, before opening them again. Thomas smiled softly at him, before he spun around, and started to walk away.

Newt couldn't move, nor scream or even talk. He could only watch with teary eyes, as the boy he loved walked out of his life. Forever.

Newt squeezed his eyes shut again, but this time, they remained closed.

I watched Five feet apart for the first time today, and oh my shuck I couldn't stop crying. I really like that movie :')
