“Yeah, we do.” I plopped down next to Macey. “That stupid vamp Butch won’t leave me alone. I’ve tried being nice and I’ve tried being blunt. He’s just so stubborn I just want to punch him!” I looked at Macey in surprise; she never wants to hurt someone. “He doesn’t even have a valid reason. When I asked why he won’t go away, he said he just doesn’t want to. That he has some stupid urge to see me.” I gasped, “That’s what Brick just said to me!” Macey looked at me confused so I told her what had happened in the library. “When I asked him why he feels the need to bug me, his exact words were ‘It’s not the urge to bother you, it’s the urge to see you.’ What’s wrong with these guys?” Macey opened her mouth but the bell rang, signaling that school was starting. We went to English and I prayed that they would leave us alone. They did; intill science. “Ok class, we’re going to be starting a new project today. You and a partner will be researching one of the planets.” Mr. Conway said. He then started reading off the list of groups. “Dillon and Princess, Elizabeth and Brick, and Macey and Butch.” “WHAT?” Princess, Macey and I all screamed. Macey blushed and I snapped my mouth shut but Princess was on her feet and mad. “Why does that annoying little fairy get to work with Brick while I have to work with some stupid zombie?” She shouted. I jumped up to tackle Princess but Macey grabbed my arm and pulled back down. “Don’t start something.” She whispered. “Do you want Brick to think you want to do this project with him?” I glanced over at said vampire and caught him staring. Instead of looking away though, the boy just smiled at me. I bared my teeth and glared. (I’ve been baring my teeth a lot lately) “Princess, Dillon is very smart and you need the A.” Mr. Conway explained. Princess’s eyes grew wide, “But Brick’s smart, why can’t I work with him?” She asked. “Because he asked to work Liz.” Princess screamed in frustration. He asked to work with me? More like demanded, Mr. Conway never lets us chose who we work with. I didn’t pay attention for the rest of class; I was too busy thinking about how to get out of working with that stupid vamp. After class was over I told Macey to go ahead to the library without me; that I’d catch up in a few minutes. The library’s where we spend our free period. After everyone had left the class room I went to talk to Mr. Conway. “Why did you pair me up with Brick?” I asked. “Because he asked to.” “But you never do that, what’s so special out him?” I protested. Mr. Conway sighed, “He’s the prince Elizabeth.” “So you feel the need to treat him better than the rest of us? How’s that fair?” “Elizabeth I know you don’t like him but he’s the prince. I had to; it’s as simple as that.” I opened my mouth but he cut me off, “I’m sorry, but I’m not discussing this anymore. Good bye Elizabeth.” I texted Macey as I walked outside, telling her to meet me on the roof. I paced back and forth as I waited. “What’s the matter?” Macey asked. I stopped pacing and turned to her. I took a breath and screamed, “I HATE VAMPIRES!!!”
