I Hate Vampires!

It’s only been an hour since the ice cream incident and I’ve already gotten a ton of texts. Most are from Brick and Macey, Macey demanding to know where I am, (I’m not at the house) and Brick asking if I’m alright. I got a couple from Butch saying suicide is not the answer (as if I would resort to that) and Princess screaming at me for humiliating her ‘boyfriend’. I don’t even wanna know how she got my number. I only got one from Adam, but it made my blood run cold. It said ‘You’ll regret that’. I’m currently in the forest with my cousin Neji, he’s a wood nymph. Don’t even ask me how that works. Anyway, I was telling him about what happened and like the smart boy he is, he didn’t laugh. “I’m not surprised you had the courage to do that, you’ve always been kinda crazy.” Neji said. “Yeah I know, I’m a psychopath! That doesn’t help!” I wailed. “Adam’s gonna kill me!” Neji shook his head, “Calm down, just get your little vampire boyfriend to have him arrested.” “WHAT?!?” I shrieked, causing Neji to flinch away. “Brick is NOT my boyfriend.” I growled, “And I already tried that but apparently you can’t arrest someone just cause you’re scared.” Neji put a hand on my shoulder, “Well I don’t know what to tell you then. You’ll just have to hope he doesn’t try anything to… Adam like.” I sighed and sat down; Neji put his arm around me like he did when I was little. “How’s that girl of yours, Jessica? You propose yet?” I asked, trying to get my mind of Adam. Neji pulled away and smiled, “Not yet, I’m going to tomorrow.” I sat and listened to him talk about his plans, smiling and giving him advice when he asked, (or needed it, he’s not the best with girls) for about an hour when someone finally called. I smiled sheepishly at Neji and answered. “Hello?” “WHERE ARE YOU?!? WE’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR TWO HOURS!” I winced and held the phone away from my head. Neji started to laugh and I glared at him. “Calm down Macey, I’m in the forest with Neji.” “Who’s Neji?” I heard a faint growl in Brick’s voice. “Am I on speaker phone?” I heard laughter and a growl. “Calm down Brick, Neji’s my cousin, my cousin, with a girlfriend. Anyway don’t worry I’ll be home soon.” “You’ll be home now.” He said, in his ‘don’t argue if you wish to live’ voice. Hard to believe I know a prince this well. I sighed, “Fine, I’m on my way. Bye.” I hung up and turned to Neji, who then started to laugh. “Wow, that boy must mean a lot to you if you’re doing what he says.” I smacked him. “He has authority over me, he’s also crazy scary when he’s mad.” “Yeah, ok Liz, whatever you say.” I rolled my eyes and smacked him again. “Bye Neji, say hi to Jessica for me.” Flying off I thought about how messed up my life has become. I’ve got an abusive werewolf who’s probably gonna try to kill me and a Vampire prince who wants me to love him. And boy did he sound mad, I am so gonna get it when I get home.
