CALL ME

Yoongi haphazardly folded his clothes and threw them into his suitcase. His manager finally decided to offer mercy and release him from his endless inquiries and accusations about last night. Yoongi gave him straight answers, but danced around the actual truth. More specifically, the topic of him spending the night with a foreign girl he just met. He could only imagine how much trouble that would get him in. It wouldn't just be an earful, news of it would go straight to the company. And that was a domino of consequences he'd rather not think about.

He was asked, 'Where the hell were you?'

To which he answered, 'I went for a walk to sober up after the guys left. I walked too far so I decided to just check in at the nearest hotel for the night.' Half truth.

His response was met with an incredulously confused gaze. 'So you couldn't atleast call?'

Yoongi had shrugged. 'My phone died.'

His manager sighed in exasperation and pinched the bridge of his nose. 'Min Yoongi, are you going through a quarter life crisis? I've never expected this sort of sudden irresponsibility and disregard like this from you of all people.'

This broke a smile on Yoongi's lips. He scratched the back of his ear and replied, 'Who knows? I never expected this either.'

This earned him a long sigh from his manager. The man must have aged 10 years from his one comment. He'd be lying if he said he didn't feel bad but the onset of questions that followed felt more than tedious. He was relieved when the director of their new Bon Voyage season called him to film a shortened version of his closing interview.

His manager parted from him with, 'We'll continue this conversation later.' But Yoongi would rather not.

As he followed the director through the living room to their villa's balcony, he caught Namjoon's concerned gaze. He was sitting on the large oak dinner table, finishing up last minute work on his laptop. When Yoongi first got back to their Airbnb, he walked into Namjoon getting an earful from one of their managers for not being able to keep track of him. Yoongi mouthed a quiet  'sorry' to him. He'd have to give him a proper apology later. Beside Namjoon sat Taehyung who quickly averted Yoongi's gaze and pretended to be typing something on his phone. He was definitely there to eavesdrop on Yoongi and the manager's conversation.

He knew he was gonna get ambushed by the guys at any opening of their schedule. Yoongi could see it on Taehyung's face. The guy was itching to bombard him with skeptical questions. Dealing with the agency was one thing but the members were a whole other story. It's very difficult to hide anything from them. Yoongi didn't really believe in god but he prayed for enough energy to survive their metaphorical ambush.

Yoongi had ruffled the hair on top of his head in stress as he walked into the balcony facing the island's skyline and took a seat placed by the railing in front of the cameras. He barely remembered what he was asked, his mind instantly went into work mode.

He remembered one question though. 'What's something you'll miss about Barbados?'

The satin red fabric of Leila's dress and her smiling face flashed through his mind. Yoongi shook the memory away and opted for an alternative answer.

"The rocky beaches. If you climb the rocks at night, you could look at the stars and listen to waves. It'll make you feel better... So, I'll miss that about the island." Yoongi said as he remembered Leila's words from when they laid next to each other on the beachside flat boulder and ate their ice cream.

Yoongi placed the last of his items in his luggage and zipped it up as a knock came on his door.

"Come in." he said looking up.

Taehyung walked in holding a folded up piece of paper in his hands. He made his way to Yoongi's bed and flopped down next to the luggage. The singer leaned on his suitcase, resting his head on his hand as he looked up at Yoongi with a sly smile.

"I caught you Min Yoongi," Taehyung said, his smile turning into a devilish grin as he held out the piece of paper to him.

Yoongi raised his brow and the paper from Taehyung and unfolded it. It was a post-it note with his number on it and the words "CALL ME" circled multiple times with heavy pen strokes.

Yoongi's heart dropped to his feet. "Where'd you get this??" he asked with wide eyes, crumpling the paper tightly into his fist.

Taehyung shrugged with a look of satisfaction in his eyes, obviously enjoying Yoongi's reaction. "In the living room, you must have dropped it."
