"It's Leila." She answered in a soft tone.
"Leii-laa..." Yoongi repeated slowly under his breath, as if trying out the syllables for the first time.
Leila blushed at the sound of her name on his lips. The girl sat up to avoid looking at him. "Don't say it like that."
Yoongi chuckled sitting up as well. "Nice to meet you Leila, I'm Min Yoongi."
Leila turned to him. "Min Yoongi." She repeated then paused momentarily. "I've heard that name before."
Yoongi shrugged. "Maybe it's common."
Leila nodded slowly, unable to place why the name was familiar. "Maybe..." she trailed off.
A crack of thunder pulled her from her thoughts. Leila and Yoongi both looked up at the sky. The clouds have grown dark and large, rumbling in the vibrations of the thunder. A flash of lightning illuminated the darkness of the night.
"Shit, it's gonna rain," Yoongi pulled himself up on his feet. Leila followed, standing close to him as she reached out her hand to feel for water droplets.
On cue, a downpour of rain washed down on them as if someone had turned on a shower-head.
Leila gasped as the cold droplets fell on her bare shoulders like needles.
Yoongi grabbed Leila's hand. "C'mon, we gotta go!" he declared. He swiftly but carefully maneuvered his way down the rocky pathway, pulling her along with him.
Leila followed suit just as quickly, her eyes were glued nervously to the rugged terrain. "Whoa, how is it raining so hard?"
"Hang on," Yoongi reassured looking back at her, but he jumped down onto the sand too quickly, pulling her abruptly forward with his strong grip. Leila's eyes widened as she missed her footing and felt herself being jerked forward.
Yoongi cursed under his breath, turning around swiftly, he reached out to catch her fall. Grabbing onto her waist, he pulled her to him.
Leila grabbed onto his shoulder for balance as she regained her footing on the sand. She could feel every groove of his body through his already soaked shirt. She felt her cheeks become warmer as she looked up at him, her heart raced. She blamed it on her sudden fall.
"My bad, are you okay?" Yoongi asked, but his concerned tone seemed to echo in her ear as she pulled away from him. She couldn't look at him.
"Yeah, don't worry about it." She replied sheepishly, shaking her head to clear her racing thoughts. She squinted past him through the rain, spotting a store by the boardwalk with an overhead canopy. "Let's run to that store front!" she said pointing towards the boardwalk.
Yoongi turned to what she was pointing at. Nodding he started towards the store, hearing Leila's footsteps behind him. This time he didn't grab onto her hand. Not only because he made her fall, but also for the sake of his own heart that was pounding against his chest. He could still feel her touch on his shoulder where she gripped onto. Her shaky breath against his neck, and the heaving of her chest against his.
Yoongi sped towards the store front. Coming to a halt under the small canopy, he leaned on a pillar, shutting his eyes closed to focus on regaining his breath.
He heard Leila run up a moment later. "You ran so fast... you left me behind-" She spoke though heaving breaths. Yoongi opened his eyes to apologize but his words caught in his throat.
Leila ran a hand through her wet hair attempting to take off the strands clinging onto the side of her face. Her short satin red dress that already hugged her figure now accentuated every curve on her body. Her exposed skin, drenched in a layer of water glistened in the light alluringly. She rubbed the side of her arm as she looked out into the rain.
This wasn't good, especially for him. Yoongi slid off his wet black button-down shirt he was wearing over his t-shirt, realizing how soaked he was as well. He rung out some of the water before straightening out the shirt.
"I don't think it's going to stop any time soon," he heard her say disappointedly as he walked up behind her. Yoongi draped his shirt over her shoulder, stepping next to her without a word.
Leila turned to him with a look of confusion. Finally, it dawned on her as she looked down at herself. She quickly slid on his shirt making sure to button it up all the way, feeling her face become inflamed in embarrassment. "Thanks." She mumbled under her breath.
"Don't worry about it." He managed to say in a straight tone, which frankly, he was proud of himself for pulling off in this situation. He was so close to yelling at her for being so clueless around men she barely knew. But it wasn't his place to do that. Not yet, but he doubted it would ever be. Would he even see her the day after tomorrow? He'd be in South Korea by then. Where would she be?
Yoongi glanced at the girl next to him. His lips cracked a smile at the sight of her in his shirt. She made sure not to miss a single button, even the one on the collar. Two thought occurred to him at that moment; 'She's cute,' and "fuck it."
Leila met his gaze frowning. "What should we do?" She asked.
Yoongi turned to her, stepping closer. "Is your hotel nearby?"
