"Taylor, sweetie it's time to wake up." I said sweetly her day care didn't start until 9 but she took the longest to get ready because she was the youngest, only 3, and always grumpy in the morning. She shared a room with her 7 year old sister Maddie. Maddie was my favorite.
I know you're not supposed to have favorites, but she was the sweetest. She always tried her hardest to help me around the house. "Maddie wake up" I opened the curtains letting in sunlight. Maddie will get ready and then help her little sister until I've woken up the rest of her siblings.
The rest of them went pretty much the same as they do every day. Next was Claire, she was 9. Then Emily who was 12, and was in her annoying preteen stage. Alex, 13, who was my little tomboy. She was the outlier. Nothing like her mom or her other sisters. The last sister was sarah, she was 15 now, always a bit quiet but coming out of her shell a bit. We had always been good friends.
"Morning sarah" I said with a smile, she was always up when I knocked.
"Do you like the blue or purple shirt better?" She asked sweetly.
"Uhhhh, definitely purple." I said surely.
There was only one person I had to wake up, the oldest, the only boy, and the biggest pain in my ass.
Xavier. He was the same age as me, 17. He was the only reason I hated this job, he made my life a living hell. When we were kids, we were close friends, but we both had some growing up to do.
"It's time to get up for school" I knocked on his door. No response. I knocked again "You're going to be late" silence.
I opened the door quietly, there he was. Laid out on his bed, deeply asleep. Not alone though. His shirtless body was tangled up with some girl who was also shirtless. I didn't recognize her, but she was beautiful. Long hair and pale skin.
I moved around the room slowly. I opened the blinds letting in sun, and I grabbed the empty plates and dirty cups littered around the room. I bent over to pick up some tee shirts that were thrown on the floor.
"Thanks for the view, Honey" a deep raspy morning voice scared me and I shot up, quickly and dropped some of the plates I had picked up.
"Don't be a creep" I whispered in disgust, trying not to wake up the sleeping beauty next to him.
He yawned and turned his body not saying anything, but maintaining eye contact. He reached onto his bedside table and knocked over a glass half filled with water, I gasped as I watched it shatter into a million clear pieces.
"You missed a spot" he broke eye contact this time.
The girl next to him woke up, she groaned and moved around in bed, covering herself.
"Who's she?" The girl asked looking at me curiously, but not addressing me.
"No one, just the maid" he yawned and she smirked. His perfect chest and abs made me hate him even more. His messy blonde hair that looked perfect even when he had just woken up made me want to punch him.
"Get out" he said one last time, but I was already walking toward the door.
I walked away quickly and jogged down the steps.
"Honey! Can you help me with-" Someone called from the living room. I sighed, it was going to be a long day.
