Azize (Unfinished)

Running Away

Yigit & Azize are sitting in the living room, reminiscing about the past they had with Okan. The time they spent together as a family carried much more meaning than it did before. An unexpected, yet tragic event took him so suddenly. They truly become orphaned souls. Now that Kartal is beside Azize along with Yigit, there was no point in returning to the Alpan mansion. Being away from it provided her safety; preventing sudden death by the hands of his brother and/or Barbaros, including his mother. Not to mention, Asya wanting to destroy her for capturing her beloved's heart. She would find any reason or flaw to get rid of her. Thankfully, she failed. Kartal could say or do anything, without having others eyes on him. Asya was not around to split them apart and spoil their moments together. It was just Azize & Kartal.

Kartal: "Since we are away from the house, why don't we all just run away? Leave all of this mess?"

Azize: "And go where? We have no place to live. Okan is gone, and we are left alone again as orphans."

Kartal: "We will find one for you & Yigit. What if you.."

Yigit: "But sister and I are thinking of traveling the world."

Kartal: "Take it easy, you aren't fully healed yet. Also, you still can't walk either."

Azize: "Even so, your family could find us... Asya, or Barbaros all want our heads. Well, Asya will want mine but regardless, still the same..."

Kartal: "That may be true, but we don't need to be here when they realize it."

Azize: "Kartal I don't know. Your mother just came back into your life, whom you presumed dead. Wouldn't you want to spend time with her? There was so much time lost... I'm sure she missed you.."

Kartal: "That is true. However, I don't want harm coming to you..... or Yigit. I don't want to be the cause of your suffering."

Azize: "What are you talking about Kartal?"

Kartal looks at the ground, because what he was about to say, might cause an unwanted reaction from Azize.

Kartal: "I am the reason your parents are dead. I am the reason you no longer have family besides your brother. It's all my fault."

Azize shakes her head. She can't accept Kartal blaming himself & feeling this way.

Azize: "Don't say that. Your brother & father are to blame. You did nothing."

Kartal interrupts her.

Kartal: "You're right, Azize. I did nothing. I allowed that to happen. I let Balkan shoot your father, and I didn't stop him."

Azize widens her eyes as she is surprised by his explanation. She never thought Kartal played such a role in her father's murder. Nor did she ever want to believe it.

Kartal: "I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to abandon me right now."

Azize is feeling conflicted. She is unable to navigate her feelings towards him. On one hand, she is in love with him; on the other, she wants to take revenge for her father. Her heart & mind is going in all sorts of directions. But she has concluded within herself that her love was stronger than her hatred. She is unable to deny the feelings she has developed for Kartal.

Azize: "Kartal, I will not leave you. You saved me. You saved Yigit. Why would I want to leave you?"

Kartal looks up at Azize with excitement. He is in shock hearing that Azize will not leave him, regardless of everything that occurred in the past.

Kartal: " I am amazed by you, really. Despite of everything, you are still by my side."

Azize: "I can never leave you, Kartal. Not after everything we have been through. You are not guilty of the crimes committed by your brother & late father."
