Zeynep's True Colors

Zeynep has taken complete control over the Alpan family matters. Since Kartal and Kuzey's departure, the family has felt more divided than ever. Hardly any one of the Alpan's could stand to be in each other's presence. Without Kartal there, the house was pure chaos. Tuna & Yildiz are still torn over the fact that they lied to Kuzey. They did not expect a positive response; however, they didn't assume that Kuzey would leave the family for good.

Zeynep orders everyone to meet at the dining table for breakfast as per usual. Coffee was already placed on the dining table; black, with a pinch of sugar. Yildiz approaches the table with Celine, and gets seated down, waiting for another unpleasant breakfast. As the strong aroma of coffee fills the room, the remaining Alpan members gather to the table. Zeynep begins to tell everyone how the next affairs were going to be handled. Balkan did not have the leadership role given to him as promised, as his own mother began taking charge. After the passing of their father, Zeynep showed no fear in returning. The reasoning behind her life-long departure was not fully known, but was quickly exposed to Balkan.

Balkan wanted to be the leader of their crime ring, and he terminated his father just to take his position. Although he is overjoyed with his mother reentering his life, there was something he wanted more. That was power. He wanted to be in control of others. Love & family was not of great importance to him, because it was something he lacked it in his youth, and for being imprisoned for some time. Due to this deprivation, love and family carried no significance.

Balkan: "Mom, I'm sure you are tired dealing with dad's business. Wouldn't you need some help?"

Zeynep: "No son, thank you. But, I will ask if I need any help."

Balkan puts his head down, trying to prevent himself from arguing further.

Zeynep: "I want to change how everything operates. Your father left quite a mess... I have plans on how I will run things, to improve the family business and avoid trouble. You will see."

It was unexpected that Zeynep would have any involvement in the family business; especially because it forced her to separate from the family. Now it was assumed that there was a hidden agenda behind it all. Did Zeynep return for her sons, or to take a position of power?

Eventually the family dispersed from the kitchen, going about their individual business. Balkan was having an internal battle with himself, contemplating on whether to go against his mother whom he loved, or obtain what he wanted?

Balkan is pacing back and forth in his room, trying to calculate his next steps.

Balkan: "Mom being in control of the business, makes no sense... Father pushed her away because of it!"

He places his cane next to the desk.

Balkan: "Think... think... the business is too dangerous for her. Oof if only Kartal was still here."

*Tuna knocks onto Balkan's door*

Balkan: "Come in."

Tuna enters the room, appearing concerned.

Tuna: "Balkan, you have to do something. Zeynep abla can't be involved in this. It's best if you handle it."

Balkan: "I know Tuna, but I don't know what to do! Kartal is not here because he is with that nurse Azize! What do you expect of me?!"

Tuna: "Do something!! It can't go on like this."

Balkan takes a slight pause.

Balkan: "We have to make it difficult for her to do anything, make our contacts not trust her."

Tuna: "Ok, but how? What if Zeynep has plans with our contacts already?"

Balkan: "I must infiltrate them...get to know mom very well. In a way that I can't."

Tuna: "I will try my best."

Balkan nods, letting Tuna know to leave the room.

Zeynep seems to have a hidden agenda behind her return, and time will reveal the truth.
