Chapter 25

Jas'mariee's POV

"MOMMYYYY I'M HOME!! " Antonio exclaimed coming in with Jacob

I took my eyes off my laptop "Hey cutie! "

"Are you still mad at daddy? " he asked

I looked at Jacob "...........no. "

"You hesitated. " Jacob said

"DID NOT! " I shouted

"Mama, can you please stop being mad at daddy?"

I sighed "Honey- "

"Hey Antonio why don't you go in your room for a bit? " Jacob said

Antonio walked to his room and Jacob sat down next to me

"Look, I understand you're angry, and you have every right too. I cheated on you, left you and Antonio for 4 years...I would be angry too. But we can't be doing this infront of our son.Jas, he's 5 years old, and for a five year old he's a smart ass kid who knows that we don't even know how to pretend to act like everything is okay. "

"Everything is okay!!  At least it was until YOU showed up."

"Jas'mariee you fucking told me to come out here and spend time with my son after 4 years!! I understand you still hate me okay I really do,but you have no fucking right to be acting like I never made an effort to make things work. "

"Don't do that. "

"Do what..? "

"Make me feel like a terrible mother " I said with my eyes watering

He sighed and pulled me into a hug "You're not a terrible mother. I just don't like the fact how we're grown adults with a son, but yet still act like kids. "

I pulled away from the hug and looked into his brown eyes "I'm sorry... "

"I'm sorry too..."

We just looked into each other eyes. Just being with him at this moment made me realize all the shit we've been through..

He started leaning in but I stopped him

"Jacob... I'm not doing this with you anymore. "

"What?"

I stood up "I am a grown woman. We're NOT in highschool anymore. Kissing me doesn't make everything better. I actually want an apology and-"

"I'm sorry. "

"Seriously?" I asked in disbelief

"You wanted an apology didn't you...?"

"YOU DON'T FUCKING GET IT JACOB!!!!!!  I don't want a petty ass apology I want a sincere apology that comes from the heart. "

"Jas'mariee I have apologized god knows how many times!!! "

"Look, I think you need to go back home... "

"What!? Why?! "

I ignored his question and walked to my room

He followed me and chuckled "Wow really? Because you don't get what you want I have to go back? "

"Just so I can think things through!! That's all. " I sat down on the bed

"Jas'mariee Lopez, if I leave this house right now, I'm sure as hell not coming back. "

When he said "Lopez " instead of "Perez " I don't know if I felt heartbroken or angry. By law I'm still Jas'mariee Perez...

"Well Jas'mariee, " Jacob asked "what do you want? "
