*2001, in Norman, Oklahoma.
"Ahhhhhh!!!" I yelled.
I was sweating, having a hard time thinking and controlling my screams so no one would hear me. I would have to go through this alone. The one time I need him to be here, he's gone. Ughh what a day.
"C'mon little one....you got this." I spoke out loud to no one in particular.
I was in the tub, hot, out of breath and in need of help. I would have to do this on my own. It's now or never.
"3....2....1- ahhhhhhh!!" I screamed for dear life. I closed my eyes and gripped the tub as hard as I can. This is the worst pain I've experienced since I've been alive. Then all the sudden I heard a noise.
"Crack."
I opened my eyes and I looked down at where my hands where placed. The tub had a crack in it. My strength. I mean of course this pain is no joke. No one told me it was going to feel like this.
I looked down but before I could see it, I heard yelling.
"DIANA!?!" He yelled.
Oh no.
I quickly but cautiously got up. He was nearby, I smelt his aura and scent. It was so masculine and powerful, it frightens me sometimes. How could this be my partner, huh Moon Goddess? I grabbed a long t-shirt and threw it on me to cover my swollen and naked body up. I needed to shift because I'll be able to save both our skins, but I'm tired and exhausted. All I wanted was to go to sleep, to close my eyes and doze off, but I knew I couldn't for the sake of it.
"Diana! Where the hell are you? I can smell you and that bitch!" He yelled.
Which shook me to the core. Every wolf in the pack felt his anger rising. I felt my skin crawl and hairs stand tall. He was angry. Very angry at me.
I got all my belongings, put it in a bag and I hopped out the back window. I ran, ran forever. I ran towards the forest and made a v-line to the nearest human populated area. I needed to shift because I'll be a lot faster on my paws. I don't think I have time to do that. This is the only hope and chance of escaping.
I put my bag down gently, took my shirt off and tucked it behind a tree. I needed to shift. C'mon girl come out. I need to hurry. She wasn't coming out. She was scared and wanted to listen to our mate, but that wasn't the objective right now. Girl we have think of our situation right now. Do you want our skin as hides or worse? I felt her agree with me. So we began to shift.
My bones started cracking, everywhere and every way without any sympathy. It started at my hands and feet. My hands got longer, bones pocking out and it seemed disfigured. They soon became big white paws. My feet was next, I fell because my legs gave out during the shift. They also turned. My spine cracked and became more straighter and defined. Next thing you know I was on all four.
He was coming, even closer to me. I smelt him, felt him. We have to go now!! I grabbed the bag and took off. I smelt so many smells, part of being a wolf. I heard the snap of a twig. I smelt a rabbit pounding on the forest floor because it smelt a predator nearby. My wolf didn't have time to stretch her legs out, but she'll be okay.
It felt like I ran for days but my heart quicken. My wolf whimpered inside, I know why she was too. He was right on our heels, I felt his eyes on me. He tried to mind link me, but I wasn't having it. AT ALL. He got even more mad at that. Next thing you now, I was tumbling and flipping. The bag gently flew to the ground. Phew the bags okay, hopefully.
He sunk his teeth into my back. I yelped and tried to snap at his feet. I could feel the blood rushing out of me by the second. I started to twirl around to get him to fly off of me but his grip was too powerful, what would you expect from a alpha male. I felt his claws scrape against my sides to try and hang on. I knew one thing he isn't good at handling, rolling over. It's important but effective.
I smirked on the inside but my wolf didn't think it was so funny. I got my feet ready to take speed and I started running, I ran to some rocks, then I came to a halt and hurried up and rolled over. We both went crashing down. My body killed me in the process but I bet his hurt worst. His teeth unwrapped around my fur and his claws came out of me and he went flying a few feet away from me. Let's go. I told my wolf. We only have a few seconds to escape.
I rushed back to the bag, scoped it up with my teeth and gained speed. I dashed through tree after tree, rock after rock and animal after animal. I was getting hungry, this can take a huge toll on you. I ran for about a few more miles and I smelt the humans. I didn't have time to go to where Paul was at, that would of gotten us killed. So I just ran towards a random house that seemed to be in a good and happy state and the family as well. I put the bag down and scratched at the door, until I heard footsteps.
"Who is it?!" A woman spoke.
I snuck off onto the side of their house. I peaked my head out. A woman stepped out, she stood their looking at the bag and she reached down to open it and once she did she gasped. She yelled somebody's name. A well built man came down and he stared with disbelief. They brought the bag in and closed the door. My wolf and I started to whimper. She was sad and so was I. He's coming. I needed a plan so he won't track me down at this specific house.
I ran around the house and went across the street and did the same thing to the house and I kept repeating that pattern for at least a couple minutes then I stopped. I tilted my head up, lifted my nose to the air and I smelled the breeze. I was everywhere. It would take him a couple days to find out which house and by then hopefully my scent vanishes.
He was closer. I ran away from the trees, my home, my family that I once knew and started off into the city but not after being caught by him again.
