I ran home as fast as I could and rushed to close my front door before it could get me, whatever it was. I fell to my knees. I was soaked in sweat and fear. I didn't know what to do. People out here say wolves don't live around here. Well they have to be bull-shitting with me right? I stayed in that position for a couple minutes trying to let what just happen sink in. What the actual fuck.
I slowly got up. I was covered in mud just a little from falling on my ass. I took my shoes off and walked to our guest bathroom.Once I was in I flipped the light switch on and looked at myself in the mirror. I had beams of sweat falling down and my black hair was sticking to the sides of my face. I was still out of breath. My hair was in a ponytail before I left and now it looked like I been playing with my little cousins all day. I had a smug of dirt on my check. I slowly went to touch it and flash backs to what I had seen came back scaring me. My eyes were dilated and my checks were pink from dehydration and from the lack of air.
I turn away from the mirror and turn to my right where the shower was at. I walked to it and bent down to start the water. I turn on the hot water to max and turned the cold water on just a little bit, so I won't be burning to death.
I sighed.
I took my hair out of the ponytail and ran my finger through it, trying to calm myself down. I let the water pour out before I change it, so it can come down from the shower head. I got up and switched the source of the water. I stepped back and turned around to open the closet. The closet was on the opposite wall from the mirror. I walked to it and opened it. There were towels, wash cloths and a few pairs of clothes in it. I picked out a set of clothes. I grabbed a black tank top, underwear and shorts.
I turned back around, put my clothes on top of the toilet seat. Then I took my clothes off and stepped into the shower, which was already steaming mist. As soon as I stepped in I felt the hot water hit my skin and it felt good. I closed my eyes and tried to push my thoughts away and the long day I had with it.
"Ugh." I sighed out loudly.
I opened my eyes and grabbed my wash cloth and picked up my favorite soap. It was a lavender scent, the soap was purple and the bottle has gold letters written on it. The soap was called "Sheer Twilight" it had a black orchid scent as well. I grabbed the soap and poured a good amount of soap on my towel and started scrubbing the mud, dirt and fear off of me. I scrubbed until my skin was burning and it was a faint, red tone. I then grabbed my hair conditioner and shampoo and poured it all on my head. At this moment I didn't care about how much was on my head. I started scrubbing my hair until it was all soapy and dripping down my wet, bare, and hot body. I turned around so that my back was towards the source of the water and I bent my head back, stepped back into the water and let the water run through my hair. I scratched my hair and played with it until the soap was all out. Then I turned around again and went directly under the water and let it cleanse the rest of my body.
"Well that's way better." I chuckled lightly, talking to myself.
I bent down and turned the water off and stepped out. I grab my towel and wrap it around me and left the bathroom with my clothes to head upstairs.
Once I was in my room I let the towel drop. I walked over to grab my lotion from my night stand and poured it on me and I rubbed it all over my body, gently. Once I was done I went back to my bed and put my clothes on.It was currently 5:30 and I was getting sleepy. So I got into my bed and wrapped my cover over my head. I poked my hand out of the covers and the cold air hit my arm, I reached for my stand and felt around for my phone. Shit. My phone wasn't there in it's normal spot. I pushed the covers over me and searched through my whole room for my phone. It's not here. I ran down the stairs checked the bathroom and my bag near the door. It wasn't there. Fuck. I must have dropped it in the woods. I still had Riley's phone number. I chuckled lightly, trying to soften up my mood.
