Riley
Yvonne Strahoviski - Miss Madison
________________________________I walked out of the house and looked up at the clear, blue sky. I usually walk to the school but sometimes I get a ride from my parents. I tilted my head to look up at the sky. I looked down and took my phone out to check the time. It was currently 7:45 and school starts at 8:10. I was good to go, so I hopped down from my steps and started walking to the school.
By the way our school is called Golden Sierra High School. The school been open since my mom was born and she's almost 40. She actually went there, which is crazy, considering the fact that some of my teachers remember her, so that sucks.
I continued to walk to the school, by myself. I like solitude to an extent. I mean I am and can be social if I need too or if I'm in that social state.
8:00
I finally reached the school. There was kids coming in and out of the school trying to meet up with their old friends and possibly new friends. I looked at the school doors and got a little nervous. I gripped my bag strap tight as hell. I heard the bell ring and everybody ran inside. Fuck. I only have a few minutes to go get my schedule and go to class. I rushed past kids and I accidentally bumped into this boy, making me drop my phone in the process. He turned around.
"I'm sorry." He said.
I looked back up.
"No, it's my fault I'm in a rush." I said to him.
We both bent down to pick up my phone and some of his books that he had dropped. I grabbed my phone, it had a blue, plain case protecting it. I picked it up and helped grab his books. He reached for them and looked me in my eyes. He had big brown eyes, and a round nose and his skin tone was dark chocolate. He seemed really smart besides his muscular size. He was really tone and fit.
He finally grabbed his belongings and we both stood up at the same time. He readjusted his self and I started to walk off on my own.
"Wait hold up!" I heard someone shout.
I slowed my walking so he could catch up with me. Once he was at the same pace he finally spoke.
"I'm Riley." He said while looking at me.
We kept walking and I turned to him.
"I'm May." I simply said without any type of emotion.
We kept walking in silence for a few. I was getting close to my destination, which was the attendance office. The school wasn't big, I thought the opposite when I first came here freshman year. It was so confusing, the lockers where numbered weird and in different spots. It honestly took me about a month to know what lockers was where. Our school theme was gold, black and white.
"Well I can tell this isn't your first day at this school so.." he asked.
Observant and smart. I like. I chuckled in my head at him.
"No, I'm a senior, been here since freshman year and honestly ready to leave." I laughed.
He laughed also.
We walked until I seen the attendance office sign. We walked in and there was kids hanging around the table, talking. A counselor came over to them and they starting talking. I overheard the counselor, she was a woman.
"If I'm not mistaken but isn't that Miss Madison?" Riley questioned me.
I looked up from my phone while we walked up to the desk. She had a tight, black skirt on and a blue blouse on. She had dirty blonde hair and grey eyes. She was a catch.
"Yes, that would be her." I told him.
We stood at the desk waiting for someone to come and aid us. We both kept looking. I guess the three group of boys had got into trouble.
"How do you get in trouble on the first day of school?" He asked.
I turned my attention from Miss Madison to Riley. He was standing on my left side.
"They only did it to see Miss Madison. She is like the only young and beautiful teacher at this school, I mean she's like twenty eight or something, she even tops Mrs. Myers, our yoga teacher." I said.
Riley started laughing hysterically. He even made me laugh out loud a little, which got noticed and Miss Madison's attention was now on us. She said something to the boys and walked near us, the boys grabbed their backpack and left the office, but not without looking at her ass, dicks. All I heard was her heels tapping against the tile floor. I heard a gulp from Riley, I chuckled and turned back to the unoccupied desk.
She came behind the desk and looked at both of us.
"So why are you guys here? Miss Baker?" She asked knowing the answer.
I rolled my eyes a little, just to annoy her. I looked back up at her and she was glaring at me. Strike one for me. She crossed her long legs over each other. Riley was just staring at her amazing and attractiveness, she's a witch.
"We're here to get our schedules." I told her.
She gave me a long stare that I didn't back down from. Until Riley interrupted.
"Yeah. I need to figure out my classes." He said to her.
Well duh.
She turned to him and smiled at him, then got to typing. While she was typing and printing out our papers, I decided be a smart ass.
"Why are you at the front desk anyway? Aren't you suppose to be in your office making important decisions or did they degrade you?" I smirked.
She instantly snapped her eyes towards me. Her grey eyes grew darker. She stopped typing and got up. We had a stare down and she walked to the back of this room where the printer and stuff was at and grabbed what looks like a schedule. She came back and smiled at Riley and hands his schedule to him. I looked down at her hands to find mine.
"Where the hell is mine?" I asked, confused.
She turned to me and smirked. She shifted her body weight to one of her feet.
"It's at lunch detention." She smiled.
Ughh.
I instantly mad a face and hurried up and tried to go back to my neutral face, so she couldn't see that it effected me, but I was too late she seen it already.
We stepped out of the office, no paper in my hand. Riley starts dying laughing.
"Your face was priceless back there." He snorted in between words.
I made a face and lightly punched him in the stomach. He grabbed his stomach and kept on laughing. I was a little upset that I got myself in to lunch detention, but oh well. I heard a ding. It was a notification from my email.
It was my schedule.
From Miss Madison.
"Here's your schedule. Don't get to excited you still have lunch detention with me at 12:20."
Ughh. And I still have lunch detention.
