Remi had her music blasting, and was admiring the serene world around her.
That's why she didn't hear the 3 enraged teenage girls coming for her.
"Little fuckin' bitch is ignoring us," said the shortest of the three, Hannah, while standing behind the main girl, "You gonna let that slide, Katie?"
Katie was tall, and had big muscles. Most of her features were very masculine, including her deep voice, and very tall frame.
The other girl was named Brooke, and was a little shorter. To put it simply, the 'popular' girl that nobody really likes, but has relatively good looks.
"No, i'm not," she said, while jogging up to an unsuspecting Remi, and shoving her as hard as she could in the back, "Bitch! Listen to us when we're talking to you!"
Remi lost her balance, because she simply didn't expect the sudden impact on her back, and she was sent tumbling forward until she landed on her hands and knees on the concrete. She also had her music blaring, so couldn't hear the heavy footsteps coming in her direction.
The worst part of it all, was that she had dropped her strawberry milk carton onto the floor, and the liquid-gold went spilling out onto the path.
What a waste...
She quickly turned around, and looked up at the girls while taking one of her earphones out. Her knees were bleeding from being scraped, because her skirt was unforgivably short, and bloody were the palms of her hands, also.
"What's going on?"
"Don't pretend like you don't know, whore," Brooke said while stepping forward, "What business do you have chatting up Lachie? You know he's dating me, right?"
"Business?" she said, standing up and dusting her jacket off, "Uh, we're friends? And I know you're not dating him, because we're friends. We play video games all the time, and he's never said a word about you."
Brooke gasps, "It's because we keep our relationship a secret!"
"You think I don't know your little games, Brooke?" said Remi, leaning in, glaring straight into her eyes and raising one eyebrow, "I was around when you did the same shit to Max, and Troy. It's pathetic, get a fuckin' life, jeez."
The three girls close in on Remi, like hyenas cornering a deer.
Brooke shoves her at the shoulders, "Quit barking up my tree! Stay away from Lachie, or else!"
It didn't take Remi too long to get angry, because they kept shoving, punching, and tormenting, with no real reaction back. They were lighting her fuse, and Remi knew it.
"Would you kindly fuck off?" she snapped back while grabbing Brooke's wrists and flicking them away from her, "Your punches are weak and I was in the middle of a banging song."
"Are you mocking us?" asks the masculine girl, while walking up and getting all in her face, "I don't like it when people do that."
Jeez, this girl is dumb, Remi thought when she rolled her eyes.
"I don't like when I have to breathe in onion breath, but look at this," she pointed to the girl's open mouth, "I am."
"You wanna fight?"
Yes.
"Whatever," Remi replies nonchalantly, pushing the girl out of her space bubble, and turning around to walk away in peace, "You're all lame."
"You know what's lame?" Brooke asks, rushing to grab her shoulders and spinning her back to face her, "Not fighting back!" she screamed, reaching down to grab Remi's collar, lifting her short frame onto her tippy-toes, and slapped her across the face.
