Remi was biting her nails, during the long elevator ride, obviously nervous.
It was such a long ride up to the 21st floor.
Even the elevator was so nice on the interior design, it made her wander about how nice her new home would be. It's details were absolutely out of this world, intricately carven gold and floral designs imprinted on the walls and floor. The vibe of it was raw expense and professionalism, with appealing carving, making the entire ride exhilarating.
About half way up, the elevator stopped, and in came walking some new passengers. It was a small family, consisting of two mothers, a son, and a daughter. The boy was about 10, but the girl seemed to be similar to Remi in age.
Remi felt even more unsettled when she made eye contact with the other teen, and she smiled warmly, only receiving back a fake smile and judgemental eyes tracing her body.
Damn, I probably look like an idiot in Yoongi's giant coat.
She couldn't help but notice how pretty the girl was, it was intimidating for Remi, who wasn't used to female asian beauty. It was inspiring, breathtakingly flawless. Like nothing she'd seen before.
Remi let out a breath she didn't know she was holding when the small family finally got off on floor 19. If they had have gotten off on the same floor as Remi, she might have just died from embarrassment.
She'd probably be seeing that girl around, assuming that they were living in the same building.
Remi noticed that she had gotten to the final floor of the hotel, which was her stop, and a beautiful melodic chime rang out, signalling that the short trip had ended. She sighed with relief when the doors slid open, and she stepped out, only carrying her backpack on her shoulders. Walking down the hall, she caught herself admiring the carpet that was woven so well, it felt like walking on clouds.
