Chapter 23

Date: December 25, 1996 8:37am

Shayne's POV

I was sleeping peacefully util I felt someone kissing my cheek It was weird because the only person who wakes me up like that is Michael I streched out and opened my eyes and saw....Michael?!

Michael:(Smiles) Well, its about time you woke up

Shayne: What? How did you get here? When?

Michael: I flew on a plane and last night going into this morning

Shayne:(Gaps) I just can't believe you're here

Michael: I told you I was gonna make it up to you, didn't I?

Shayne: Yeah but I didn't think you would this soon

(We laughed.)

Shayne: What happened to the show?

Michael: Turns out a huge snowstorm hit Fukuora so they cancelled the show tomorrow and the show on the 28th might be cancelled too

Shayne: Aww, that sucks for your fans but its great for me

(I threw my arms around him and he laughed.)

Shayne: I missed you babe

Michael: I missed you too

(I let go of him and we looked each other in the eyes.)

Michael: Shay,...Have you been crying?

(My eyes widened. I had completely forgotten about last night, now that he was here.)

Shayne:(Hesitates) No..

(He rolled his eyes slightly.)

Michael: Shayne Morgan Jackson, don't lie to me

(I sighed. I should have known better than to try to lie to him. H eknows me too well.)

Shayne: Yeah

Michael: Why? Whats wrong?

(I know how proctective Michael gets over me. Even though it was nothing really major, Im still not taking any chances.)

Shayne: I was just missing you and sad that we weren't gonna be spending Christmas together

(He raised his eyebrow like he didn't believe me. After a mintue, he nodded.)

Michael: Alright well, you don't have to worry about that now that Im here

(All of a sudden, there was knock on the door.)

Shayne: Come in

(The door opened and Sage peeked her head in.)

Sage: Shay, can I talk to you? (Sees Michael) Mikey!

(She ran in and tackled him onto the bed. He laughed and hugged her back.)

Michael: Hey Sage

Sage: When did you get here?

Michael: This morning

(She got up and and looked at me.)

Sage: Oh Shay, can I talk to you for a minute?

Shayne: Yeah

(We both looked at Michael. He held his hands up.)

Michael: Ok I can tell when Im not wanted I'll be downstairs

(He walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. Saage sat down on the bed in front of me.)

Sage: I just wanted to talk to you about last night

Shayne:(Nods) I kinda figured that but I do wanna say that I am sorry and that I plan on apologizing to Rayan when we go downstairs

Sage: Thats gonna be kinda hard

Shayne: Why?

Sage: He left

(My eyes widened.)

Shayne: Seriously? (She nodded.) Im didn't mean to-

Sage: No It wasn't your fault Last night, we had a talk and he said some things and I was like," I can't be with someone who talks about my family like that" so he left

Shayne: Aww, Im sorry munchkin

Sage:(Waves her hand) Its fine Im too cute for him anyways

(We laughed and I gave her a hug. We got up and walked downstairs, where everyone was already opening presents.)

Sage: Ya'll couldnt wait for us?

Christopher: You guys were taking too long

Shayne:(Laughs) Whatever

(For the rest of the day, we just spent time together. Days like this are times when Im grateful for my family, especially Michael.)
