Chapter 6

Date: August 25, 1993

Michael's POV

When I opened my eyes, a bright light hit them I closed my eyes and groaned I opened them again and looked around I was in a hospital room

I looked to my right and saw Elizabeth She had her head down reading a book I then looked to my left and saw Shayne She was...... Wait, Shayne.?!!

Michael: Shayne.?

(Her head popped up and she stood up. She grabbed my hand, which I noticed had an IV in it)

Shayne: Hey Applehead How you feeling.?

Michael: A little light headed, to be honest Lizzy, Hi

(She stood up also and ran her fingers through my hair)

Elizabeth : Hi darling

Michael: What happened.?

Shayne: You don't remember anything.?

(I shook my head and they both sighed wearily.)

Elizabeth: Honey, you are being accused of child sexual abuse

(My eyes widened. It all came back to me. Even though I didn't want to, the tears just started to roll down my face.)

Shayne: Michael.....

(She sat next to me and wrapped her arm around my shoulder. Lizzy sat by my leg and rubbed it gently)

Shayne: Don't cry Its gonna be ok

Michael: How am I supposed to do this tour with all of this going on.?!

Elizabeth: Do not worry about the tour Right now, we wanna make sure that your ok

Michael: You guys....... (They both looked at me.) Y'all know that I would never hurt a child

(Shayne shushed me by putting her finger on my lips)

Shayne: We know that

Elizabeth: We would never even think that you did something like that

Michael: Thanks for being here for me, you two

Shayne: No problem

(They both kissed my forehead and held me in their arms. It's nice to know that they're here for me.)

Hour and a half Later

(The doctor said I could go home since I'm feeling better. Julie brought me my clothes and I  went into the bathroom that was connected to my room. I put on a blue button down, black pants, and my loafers. I walked back out and sat on the bed.)

Michael: Is there press outside.?

Julie: Way more than usual

(I sighed.)

Michael: Back entrances too.?

Julie:(Nods) Everywhere

(I groaned and put on my Fedora. Shayne came over to me and grabbed me by my shoulders.)

Shayne: Hey, we're gonna be right there with you, OK.?

(I nodded. Julie walked out of the room to let the security know that we were ready to leave. Elizabeth grabbed my bag and put it on her shoulder. I tried to grab it from her but she pushed my hand away.)

Elizabeth: I've got it

Michael: You sure.?

Elizabeth: Yes, you just relax
