My life was normal, well kinda. I had black and purple hair, listen to heavy metal and dress in all black. I was always picked on everyday until I met him. This is how it all went down.

I'm walking to school dressed black skinny jeans, a long sleeve shirt, with a skull tank top over it, and checkered vans. As I'm listening to Bring Me The Horizon I feel a pebble hit the side of my head. I take my earbud out and see the jocks and the cheerleaders laughing. Another normal day in the world of Raina. I roll my eyes, put my earbud back in, and keep on walking. One I the girls (the leader) walks up to me.

"Hey you emo faggot don't you dare ignore us." She snarls like a damn rabid dog.

"What are you gonna do about it Samantha? Huh? Have your followers do your dirty work like always, kicking the shit out if me, making fun of my scars? Well I'm done you fucking bitch!!!!" I slap her as hard as I can. Hearing the sound of my hand hitting her face makes me the happiest person ever, but it doesn't last very long. They start punching and kicking me until I'm bleeding from the nose, suddenly I see a boy around 5'11 with gauges an a septum piercing, has a black hat, and black hair. He runs in front of me and makes them stop, like it was magic. They run away and he turns around and helps me up. At first I thought I was seeing things, but I saw this perfectly pale boy standing in front of me.

"I'm Raina." I put my hand out and he grabs it and kisses it instead of shaking it.

"And I'm James. It's a pleasure to meet you." I smile a him as he grabs my hand and we continue to walk.

"I'm taking you to our school." Wait our school? We go to the same school?

"I saw the name of the school on your book." I nod my head.

"I'm the new kid everyone has been talking about."

"Ohh yeah my friend has been wondering if you're cute." He laughs.

"Well your friend is quite nosy." He smiles at me as we continue walking hand in hand.

"You get used to her trust me." I see the school ahead and I see more bullies.

"Hey you might wanna let go of my hand. I don't want you to be known for being friends with the emo freak." He squeezes my hand.

"I'm not letting go." Who knew those words would change my life forever.
