James's POV

Wow our date went amazing. It's the next day and I'm outside Raina's house, waiting to walk her to school. When she comes out she's in blue acid washed skinny jeans, a black tank top, a red flannel shirt, with black vans. She's so beautiful from her head to her toes. I grab her and she smiles bright.

"Good morning James you seem very happy this morning." I smile back at her. No wonder I was happy all the time lately. Since I've met Raina my whole world has made a 180. I used to think I was a cold, soulless monster. Speaking of me being a monster. How am I gonna tell Raina that I'm a vampire? Will she believe me? Will she leave me? I don't want her to leave me, I just became so happy. I'm still a monster but I'm a happy monster now.

We start walking towards the school when we see the popular group. Oh shit, just when Raina's happy they come around to spoil it.

"Oh look who it is, it's the emo slut with my man." Layla says.

"Look Layla I already told you I didn't wanna be with you that I wanted to be with Raina and that's my final word." She rolls her eyes and comes closer.

"Oh yeah did she tell you about these?" Layla claws at Raina's wrist and I see a dark red blotch on Raina's red shirt. It's that blood? That could mean only one thing.

"Your perfect little whore has a cutting habit." She laughs as the rest of her friends do as well. I can't believe Raina didn't tell me about this, I would've never judged her. I look over and see Raina with her eyes full of tears as they were falling down her beautiful face. Raina ran off in a pool of tears back to her house. I ran after her, but I heard her front door slam. I knocked as loud as I could until I got an answer.

"What did you come to make fun of me too?" I look down at the ground. How could she think of ever do such a terrible thing to such a delicate little flower.

"Raina I'm not here to make fun of you, I just wanna talk to you." She cracks the door and I see those baby blue eyes that made me fall in love with we from the beginning.

"What do you want James?" She asks with a hard tone of voice. I can feel her walls building higher and higher by the second.

"Can I come in please?" More tears come from the rims of her eyes and fall down her face like waterfalls. The door creaks open as I see Raina with her back against the wall, sitting on the floor. I hold her hands.

"Raina love why didn't you tell me?" Her sniffles and cries fill the room. I know what's she's going through because I have the same problem with bullying and cutting.

"Because I thought you would've made fun of me, or you wouldn't have wanted to be my friend anymore. I mean look at me!!" She rolls her sleeves up showing me her scared arms. They were fresh cuts all the up both her forearms. The cuts were in every direction you could think off. How could such a beautiful girl be so damaged?

"Raina I would've never made fun of you. I have the same problem." I roll my sleeves up and show her my scars.

"How about we make a promise to each other not to cut?" I ask and I see that pretty smile come back to her face.

"Under one condition." I nod

"Anything to keep you save."

"James will you be my boyfriend?" She asks me with a slight blush to her cheeks. It's adorable how embarrassed she gets sometimes.

"Of course I will Raina." I reach over and hug her and give her the sweetest, softest I've ever given anyone.
