Going to School

Walking into school with James felt natural. People were staring at us. He did look like a goth and here's the emo girl with the new boy. He'll be popular soon and want nothing to do with me, so I'll let it last. He seems like a really nice person.

"Look at those two, the boy is hot. I wonder what his name is?" the popular girl whispers to her clan. She walks up and pulls our hands apart and it feels like a connection was broken between us.

"Hey sexy boy." She puts a seductive smile on her face. Man I just met this boy and he's already taken from my grasp. I really liked him but she won him over.

"Wanna come over my place tonight?" She asks him while touching his arm. He looks at her like she's crazy.

"Please stop touching me. I'm with Raina so please stop trying to hit on me." She looks at him in dismay.

"How could you say no to me?! I'm the hottest girl in school!!" James rolls his eyes.

"I like my girls curvy, not skinny." and we walk away.

"So you're gonna be with that emo freak?!" He turns around and smiles.

"She's my emo freak." those words made my heart swell a thousand times more than it was. he made me feel special. He grabbed my hand again as I showed him around the school. Near the end of the tour he asked the question I've never been asked.

"Raina will you go on a date with me?" James asks. Oh holy shit. He asked me, me. He likes me.

"Sure James I'd love too." He smiles big and bright and we hold hands walking around school. That day I was excused from classes for showing James around the school. I can't wait to go on a date with James. What am I gonna wear, I've never had to think about these things. James held my hand the entire day. He makeshift heart melt at his voice, his touch is like one thousand volts of electricity coming through my body. I think I'm in love.
