Vrox watched the top of Kira's brown hair as she glossed his chest with tears. Her small body shook against his sturdy one, cracking his brow with displeasure. He couldn't stand her pain. He couldn't massage salve onto her skin to heal these wounds. He had been trained to kill tangible danger– beasts, and men. No one had taught him how to slay the demons of a child.

This kind of pain required medicine that he didn't have.

He remained still with his arms by his side, torn and confused. He and his brothers never displayed sadness to this degree. He felt like he had to do something, but was floored as to what.

He watched the other boy lay on his back and curl into a ball, facing away from them.

Silence that was occasionally interrupted by a sniffle flooded the cave. He had no idea what caused the distress. He understood that Kira and the other boy were somewhat familiar with each other, but that didn't explain their origin.

With the realization that he now had two handfuls to deal with, he decided that he needed to get back to his family as soon as possible.

Kira sniffled one final time. She was about done with her pity party.

Pulling her head off Vrox's chest, she cringed when she found it glistering with her tears.

"Shit. I'm sorry," she sighed as she began to brush her hands all over his chest, uselessly trying to wipe it clean. She did nothing but become well-acquainted with his thick muscles.

Her hand dared to venture to his scaled arm– the most alien part of him. Her fingers trembled slightly, nervous of what they would find on the jungle of power. Softly, she skimmed her fingertips over the arm that had embraced her many times before. The scales were hard, each about an inch long. They started at the base of his neck and spanned over the entire arm.

So peculiar, so dangerous.

His arms could haul her into the portal of the afterlife, but had brought her nothing but protection and pleasure.

It was when her fingers touched his neck that she realized she had reached the end of her journey.

She flicked her eyes up, meeting his yellows.

He had been studying her all along, intrigued by her curiosity. It ocurred to Kira that Vrox's wonderful body didn't have much experience getting admired. That was quite a shame.

"Thank you," she muttered as she pulled her hand away.

He responded by placing his scaled hand on her shoulder, dragging it down until their hands joined.

"Soon, you will have your own scales," Vrox told her. "You will become a fine man. I will take care of you and the other boy until then."

He pictured Kira's fatty thighs and buttocks flattening with muscle, hips becoming narrower, stomach and chest squaring with abs.

The image displeased him.

Kira's current body was designed quite uselessly. It was too soft-skinned, short-limbed, and thin-boned. The slip of a body was impractical for fighting. It made him feel powerful being there to protect Kira.

Vrox's was sturdy like a tree's trunk, but he felt bare, flowerless, leafless, without Kira beside him.

She lifted off his lap, leaving his thighs feeling empty. The sensation only reinforced his questions. He got an eyeful of her round bottom as she crawled. It was barely constrained by her stained skirt. He scratched his jaw as he watched her, concerned with the sight. Her ass and thighs looked filled out, plum, natural. When will Kira grow muscles?

Kira was completely unaware of Vrox's stare. She crawled over to the girl who was still lying on her side, laying a supportive hand on her shoulder.

"Hey," she whispered. "Do you need anything? Water, maybe?"

She girl shook her head, not moving from her fetal position.

"I just need... time."

"I understand that. I'm here, and Vrox is too. You can tell me if you need anything, and I'll try to help."

"My... my name is Nebula."

Kira smiled, softly squeezing her shoulder. "Nice to meet you. I'm Kira."

Silence followed after that, and Kira figured she wanted to be left alone. Nebula was in a dark place– the border between denial and depression.

With a sigh, Kira looked at the entrance of the cave. She pressed a hand against her chest and rubbed the area to soothe the sad ache that was in there.

She didn't notice Vrox's scrutiny.

Nebula was relatively quiet for the rest of the day. Kira checked in on her every few hours, offering food and water. After rejecting her respectfully, Nebula would resume her sobbing.

That night, she ate the fruit that Vrox gave her without putting much thought to it, being too busy worrying over everything else.

There were now two human females on the planet. Nebula would lose her shit if she found out that she was a walking tootsie pop that every male on the planet wanted to lick to the center of.

When she could no longer fight back her yawns, she sought sleep. Without thinking much of it, she crawled over to where Vrox was laying. She curled beside him, pressing her back against his arm, and fell asleep.

Vrox remained awake for hours.

"Um... Kira?"

Kira opened her heavy eyes, finding Nebula sitting beside her with puffy eyes and a small pout.

"Hey," she mumbled, sitting up.

"The alien... guy. Does he not wear pants?"

Kira laughed, grabbing Vrox's attention from where he was standing by the entrance.

"I don't think they tailor pants that could carry his package."

Nebula covered her face adorably, making Kira grin. The girl was showing small signs of emotional recovery.

"I'll tell you all about him if you'd like. It will help you become less afraid."

"Okay," Nebula nodded, sitting beside her.

With a deep inhale, Kira began to recite her adventure with her alien.
