Merely a martyr,

I am a soldier.

A translucent being of grey.

A corrosive specimen unleashed,

upon the innocent and unsheathed,

I am the soil beneath,

the blemished coral reef.

Merely a martyr,

Your words will not suffice,

An exemplar of self-sacrifice.

I am a body about,

to implode without doubt,

An event for which,

there is no more surmount.

Merely a martyr,

I am the aftermath of destruction.

A consequence of sheer corruption.

Shrouded discoveries will not

make me an amputee,

over which you posthumously revere.

But who am I to disagree?

For all I seem to be,

is nothing but a martyr.

Sincerely,

Crap Bag
