Lilith created the horsemen with the dust of different angels and demons. She considers them her children and as much as she won't admit it, she will protect her children if she deems it appropriate for her to help them. She is currently with Lucifer, after Samael lost his power and she grew bored of him. One of her few weaknesses is her desire to have grandkids, her reasoning? She wants to continue the line of powerful horsemen, and to be forever known as the woman who created that race, so she mostly bothers Fury and War to have kids as she knows Death with never have kids, and Strife doesn't really care if he does or doesn't so her bothering him is useless. Fury and War on the other hand have a close relationship which was surprising to Lilith at first, but now she sees it as her only way to have grandkids.
